The civil war was set into motion by the 4929 Augusust Revolution. Both the Red and Black sides issued statements and articles on the day of revolution, the Fifteenth.

Storming of the Government Complex

The criminal Dranian Federation has been deposed. Power has rightfully been transferred to the Proletariat; to the Seongtaek Rowi of Workers' Deputies and to the Communist Party!

The cause for which the people have fought, namely, the immediate offer of an end of recession, the abolition of landed proprietorship, workers' control over production, and the establishment of Rowi power—this cause has been secured.

Long live the revolution of the Proletariat!

COMMUNISTS SEIZE THE SENATE; TERROR REIGNS

This morning; red guards and militias ran wild throughout Seongtaek as the Metzist Kyo Communist Party declared itself to be the Communist Party of the Rowiet Union. Red forces and traitorous police men and soldiers managed to secure key areas in the city as the Communist battleship "Haebang" Fired into the harbor. A large crowd; mostly angry workers; formed a mass mob and surrounded the Government Complex. At around 10:30 AM; the VARA radio station and BNN TV cut broadcast access to non-communist outlets and read a proclamation of the UCCR as issued by the Communist Party.

Loyal police and guards fought valiantly to defend the Senate; but it was in vain as the mob stormed the Complex and captured it. As the red flag was raised; senate members were ordered out of the complex and imprisoned; with the exception of KCP-M senators who gave access to members of the Seongtaek Rowi.

The Seongtaek Rowi; a non-governmental and economic organization established in 4920; announced a campaign to give "all power to the Rowis"; and declared itself the sole government of the Dranian Federation. Communist forces have illegally proclaimed a so-called "Union of Communist Councilist Republics"; or the "Rowiet Union". All over Dankuk various Rowis are beginning to seize the means of production; leaving innocent entrepreneurs without defenses.

Mass evacuations of Drania are beginning; in particular the nation's Draniano population; who fear worsened political power and retribution for Federation-Era policies. Though generals loyal to the Federation and remenants of the Black Flag Leagues continue to organize and fight the reds; most of the country has fallen to the Communists. Park Hae-Kap has managed to escape to Gongmangdo; and we sincerely hope he can muster forces to defeat the revolt.

This is a violent and authoritarian insurrection against the Dranian Federation. We cannot tolerate it; the Communists must be defeated and brought to justice. This momentary catacylsm of tyranny shall surely be trounced!

The Civil War would officially begin on the 25th, with an incursion by Black forces into the Red North.

Campaign to Retake the North Begins

The Provisional Government has announced the formation of an incursion into Myeoggi; in hopes of capturing the strategic city of Yonseo. It appears this marks the beginning of a Civil War in Drania.

Meanwhile, the First Rowiet Congress had concluded on the 21st.

Delegates from the Communist International Attend the Congress

The First Rowiet Congress has officially been adjourned; ending a storm of new legislation and rapid revolution. Primary issues included the position towards foreign bourgeois powers; the establishment and powers of the Rowiet Republics; the organization of the Red Army; implementation of national economy; and the structure of the new government among others. Several new documents and decrees were delivered; and a Constitution was enshrined.

September 1 would conclude the first major battle of the war, with a Black victory in Yonseo.

Yonseo Liberated by Black Army

Earlier today fighting finally ceased in the northern town of Yonseo; in which our dear Black Army was victorious. The reds have retreated to Taeyang over the mountains; and our generals are confident in the strength of the Dranian citizenry to overthrow the Communist Cancer poisoning the nation. This is the beginning of the fall; not one step backwards!

Provisional Government Finalized
On August 30th; the Provisional Council officially ratified a protocol for the execution of powers. The Acting Chairman of the Federation is Kim Dae-Sung; head of the new Socialist Revolutionary Party (or SRs), successor of the KCP-Unified. The Acting Premier and Commander in Chief of the Black Army is Park Hae-Kap; of the Taeguk National Union (successor of the Taegeuk Alliance). The Provisional Council is 100 seats and proportioned by executive decree; thus far it consists of the Alliance for the Defense of the Federation - the TNU, SRs, Liberals, Ryeoists, and Fascists all in a solid coalition against Communism.
