Battle of Cheya takes alot of casualties

The attack on the city of Cheya, one of the first New Endralonian attacks on Trigunia but also the least succesfull seems to be a problem. Though the fighting isnt shifting infavour of Trigunia as of yet the Confederal forces are taking huge casulaties. Many soldiers are wounded or killed and tanks and other vehicles have been blown up or disabled or even blocked from moving. The bombardments by the Trigunians have also been effective in stopping the Confederal advancements of the army through the destruction the vital infrastructure. More casualties are not known as of yet but the number is rising by the second on each side though the Trigunian ability to reinforce faster will eventualy hurt New Endralonian dreams of conquering the city.

5 Field Armies leave Deltaria for Vanaku

Image
January 3rd 3994, troops marching out of Deltaria

Deltaria has deployed 5 field armies to assist their Jelbek allies in a concerted effort against Vanaku. A total of 275,000 Deltarian soldiers are currently marching through Jelbania on their way to Vanaku. The troops are under the command of General Gregor Kanevsky, the head of the army. With one Field Army considered as good as gone in Kalistan and 5 now heading to Vanaku. Deltaria is left with 6 field armies and 6 reservist Field Armies. Sources in the military say Deltaria is planning on using its historic "strength in numbers" strategy to overwhelm Prince Juhn's forces.

OOC: Ofcourse! Dont worry this post is based on what I discussed with him over PM and it specificly speaks off my own casualties that I have had up until now. Its not further in the time line. After the response of Max the entire headline will read: ''SHIT!!'' :P

I also corrected some mistakes. It looked like I was bombing him whilest it should say that he is bombing the shit out of me. I keep things fair, dont worry this news is everything but in my favour :P

Kalistani Republic
Interim President Henrietta Allen Addresses Republic

"It will be time to mourn after Victory"

March 12, 3994
Vrassa City, Vrassa District

Image
Interim President of the Republic, Henrietta Allen

The New Interim President of the Republic, the former Foreign Minister of Kalistan and the sister of slain General Henry E. Allen, known as the Hero of Dahriel, was sworn into office today. She takes the place of the fallen President of the Republic, Poppy Smith-Bennots. She made brief comments to the Press, which are transcribed below:

"Comrades, we are deeply humbled to serve the Republic at this time of grave crisis. As I speak, the Indralan invasion has been turned back, but only for the time being. We have lost a Great President, who put her own life on the line for the defense of Kalistan. We have lost... excuse me... we have lost, my own Brother, who not only defended the lives of the people of Dahriel, but also lost his own on that mountain. Shmee will forever stand as a monument to our fallen comrades and brave defenders of the Republic. But now is not a time to grieve. We will have plenty of time to mourn our losses after we win and drive the invaders from our land. Kalistan must fight as if our lives depended on it. And we shall have the chance. The people of Ananto have given 10 thousand of their own to defend our Republic. And the People of the Mainland Districts must do their Part.

My own faith tells me to seek peace and reconciliation with my fellow man. Yes- even my enemies. Yes- even those who took from me my own flesh and blood. And yet, there is still something I can do, something we can all do. The people of Ananto are suffering. If you can, may we all pitch in to alleviate their suffering. I know- the crisis has taxed ALL Kalistanis. The refugee crisis here on the mainland has ground the economy to a halt as we try to alleviate the suffering of our brothers and sisters who have already come from Ananto. But we can, we must do more. Until this war is finished, and Kalistan is free from the terror of naval guns and advancing soldiers once more. If you have extra food this month, please send it to Ananto. If you have extra cloth this month, please, send it to Ananto. If you have extra metal laying around your house, send it to the scrap heap, so that the war manufacturers can produce more munitions. If you are unattached, please consider going to Ananto and helping us rebuild. All citizens are called to increased sacrifice, so that the burden of those who have been bearing it alone for so long may be a little lighter.

Kalistan will look for a way to end this war. But in the meantime, it takes an entire nation to fight it. Join with me in doing all we can: forego a little of your comfort, because the brave defenders, those who have sacrificed so much and have been entirely cut off from the world, may know that we are all in this together. We will do all we can, so that your President and my Brother may not have lost their precious lives in vain!"

Spokespeople for the President have stated that she will only stand for election until the war ends, and then will retire to allow the Socialist Party to pick a candidate of their choice to run for the office. In the meanwhile, they also pointed out that the President has appointed Davjeet Bhattacharya as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs.

"What is the plan here?" ask worried citizens
Border with Jelbania ill-defended.

Image
Protesters demand more protection as build up on border increases.

July 3994 - After an initial build up the Vanukean forces have only decreased their troop count on the Jelbanian border. Troops have been relocated to "key positions" and the northern border according to army officials. Inland there are many reports of troop movements though even with the amount of soldiers in the area the local citizens are still overly worried that something bad will happen. "There are hundreds of thousands of Deltarians and Jelbanians over there and we are sitting here in our houses guarded by a few men and a rusty truck, the government ought to protect us properly!" said Jeztri Zuydbroek, the chairman of the Citizens for Safety group. Over 9.000 citizens from the border area have already joined this protest group and are demanding that the government take further action in ensuring the safety of Vanuku. The only response from Wiel so far is that they have assured the people that "our nation is secure", though this has not assured the CoS who instead have taken it up themselves to protest near local government buildings. Military experts have stated that it could be part of a defensive plan but refused to speculate further, in fear of angering Wiel or playing into the hands of the Jelbanians.

The hunt continues!
First Fleet engages fleeing Trigunians.

Image
A Vanukean frigate fires a missile at the fleeing Trigunians.

After the glorious victory over the Trigunian fleet the First Fleet has returned home for repairs and resupply, after that they were given the exact same orders: hunt down the Trigunians. With the Hutorian and New Endralonian invasion of Trigunia it quickly became clear that the Trigunians were going to send their fleets home. The First Fleet had the task to stop, delay or destroy them with the last the prefered result. Sadly, the brave men and women of the Naval Forces were unable to destroy the Trigunians. But it is fair to say that they at least gave them a good banging. The Trigunians sailed from Deltaria after licking their wounds there. By the time they left the First Fleet was already back on the Majatran Sea and on the prowl, thanks to the more advanced Vanukean docks and logistics. Though the Majatran Sea is large and when the First Fleet caught up with the fleeing Trigunians they were already at the strait between Cildania and Badara. With no Cildanian navy to speak of to stop them it was solely for the Vanukeans to end this pathetic retreat.

A naval battle ensued in which the Trigunians tried to use a delay and run method, yet the Vanukean frigates proved to be faster and in the end there were three skirmishes which all lasted several hours. In total the ordeal has taken two days but once the Trigunians were well out the Majatran Sea the First Fleet was given the order to return to their home waters. Several Trigunian ships were sunk, at the cost of some Vanukean vessels as well. Wiel however released a victorious statement, emphasizing on the fact that the Trigunians are running home while bleeding. Vanuku will now focus on domestic threats, expecting an impending invasion from Jelbania and Deltaria.

Avram orders Invasion of Jakania
Dec. 13th 3994

Image
Deltaria launched a suprise invasion of Western Jakania last night, taking advantage of the chaos to the south as the Razamids have begun their invasion of Jakania to the east. Deltaria is engaging in a policy of enslaving the majatrans in jakania unlucky enough to be caught by Deltarian soldiers. Presedinte Avram has called this invasion neccessary for the war effort as the profits from the slaves are expected to fund and power the war effort. Avram jokingly told reporters
We're fixing the refugee crisis one person at the time

4 Field Armys have been sent into Jakania totaling 220,000 soldiers. Deltaria is apparently continuing to use their "strength in numbers" strategy , though most of these numbers have been spread out to hunt down Majatrans.

Image

Avram has ordered a no mercy policy in Western Jakania. As Deltarian soldiers pass through they are burning entire towns to the ground. Sources in the Deltarian Military say they have been ordered to break the people of Western Jakania. Those who don't go willingly into slavery are being shot down like dogs. Avram's Administration has for a long time feared the influence of Cobura in Jakania, this invasion is being hailed by the administration as a preemptive move to prevent Cobura from taking advantage of the chaos in Jakania. Word has spread fast of Deltaria's brutal onslaught, as soldiers arrive some towns are already deserted, the military believes they are fleeing west toward Cobura since they arent to fond of the Razamids in the east either. Several thousand are already in chains headed for Deltaria to work toward the war effort

Deltaria enters Southern Vanuku with ease
Image
Deltarian Troops march through southern Vanuku

Deltarian troops have entered Southern Vanuku with little resistance. Celebrations are being held in Deltaria as the nation celebrates victories in Vanuku and Jakania. While Deltaria is employing its "strength through numbers" strategy on both fronts sources in the Deltarian military report that military leadership is fearful of Vanuku's inevitable retaliation. Deltarian forces have engaged in a scorched earth policy as they slowly take town by town in southern Vanuku with assistance from the Jelbik Warriors. This scorched earth policy has involved the destruction of as much infrastructure as possible intended to slow down an assault by Vanuku, railroads, roads, and even water pipes and power lines are being destroyed as Deltarian troops leave a trail of smoke everywhere they go.

Jelbék Etoé Jelbék'aigrm (Jelbic Eastern Horde), approximately fifty miles west of Papel, Bommelaer/Bomkalek, Vanuku

The horde's advance had been surprisingly easy - even against the Wrnukék mice.

Skoékai Genzisrmko reined his warhorse in and lowered his rifle, taking a moment to catch his breath. The ride up the coast of Rilmos and to the outskirts of the port city of Papel had been a difficult one for the Eastern Horde, but he was happy to have been chosen to fight here rather than in the Middle or Western Hordes - their journeys through the Baniray Steppe and over the mountainous border must have been grueling.

The Eastern Horde was comprised primarily of Jelbék horsemen, nearly fifty thousand, but also included a significant contingent of more heavily armed Deltarians and Jelbic mercenaries. The mercenaries were at the command of the various drug corporations, whose executives saw an opportunity to extend the Jelbic drug trade into the Vanukese south. Their soldiers were remarkably well equipped, but entirely un-traditional - they fought in armored vehicles imported from Deltaria and elsewhere, and eschewed the horses ridden by the vast majority of the Jelbék horde.

Filthy Jeztaghényr, thought Skoékai Genzisrmko as he watched with disgust as a group of these mercenaries disembark from an armored car to rape a Wrnukék woman - it was the car that bothered him. The mercenaries acted more like Deltarians or Zardic dogs than like Jelbéks. Skoékai Genzisrmko patted his horse's broad neck, as if to reassure them both that there still was a place for them on Terra.

With the help of the Deltarians, the horde's advance had been swift. In only days they had ridden from Jelbania to the outskirts of Papel, the capture of which would be a heavy blow to the Vanukese economy in southern Vanuku, as well as to its naval strength. It had seemed, almost, like the Vanukese had abandoned hope and left their border towns for the taking. It was no surprise to Skoékai Genzisrmko, the Wrnukék Mouse in Wiel was no warrior, such had been proved on the Baniray Steppe in Sbtlshjogad against the H'àn. The horde had made them pay for their cowardice - southeastern Bomkalek now burned, and Papel soon would fall.

Cobura Declares War on Deltaria, Enters Jakania

December 14th, 3994
Image
Coburan Soldier In Jakania near Lake Majatra

In response to Deltaria’s invasion of Jakania yesterday, Cobura has officially declared war on Deltaria. The Royal Assembly declared Deltaria’s invasion to be a clear act of aggression, not just toward Jakania, but Cobura and indeed all of Majatra as well. The first military action undertaken by Cobura was a series of air strikes against the advancing Deltarian forces. Coburan troops, who had been concentrated in Dilganato in anticipation of an attack by Deltaria, crossed the Jakanian border shortly afterwards in hopes of stopping the Deltarian offensive. Cobura’s initial invasion force includes 180,000 infantrymen, accompanied by a contingent of 975 D-84M main battle tanks and 400 Psentkeri II main battle tanks. This constitutes nearly 70% of Cobura’s active armed forces, and as such, all 200,000 reservists have been activated to defend the home front. The invasion force’s first objective is to establish defensive positions and operating bases in order to prevent any further advancement by Deltarian troops. A large portion of the force has taken up positions near the shore of Lake Majatra, while some troops have advanced eastward to prevent a Deltarian flanking maneuver. There has not yet been a clash between ground forces, but an engagement seems likely within the next few days as both sides advance.

The Coburan government has issued bribes to local warlords to prevent them from launching a large scale insurgency against Coburan forces, who are reportedly seen by Jakanians as unwanted imperialists despite the Deltarian threat. These warlords are currently the only real authority present in the notoriously unstable western half of Jakania, and Cobura will gain a significant advantage over Deltaria if an understanding can be reached between Coburan troops and local leaders. Deltaria, on the other hand, will almost certainly have to grapple with insurgents fighting for their freedom and survival.

(OOC: I'll try to post a map regarding the current situation in Jakania soon. I'm quite busy at the moment.)
