OOC: Alright! Lets get this started. I suggest the coalition first posts in here. And well go from there. Ill post the timeline below just as confirmation.

Start of the war: June 4635
Deltaria launches suprise attack against the istalian fleet after which Istalia and Vanuku declare war

Coalition assembles forces: July to August 4635
The coalition assembles its forces in Stormkaap and the Vanukan fleet picks up istalian forces after the decimation of their fleet

Coalition forces launch their combined invasion of Jakania and Deltaria: October 4635
The coalition launches a major invasion of Jakania and Deltaria, a bombing campaign continues throughout the invasion quikcly overwhelming the Deltarian airforce and, with Istalian missiles hitting deltarian targets, Istalian morale starts rising again.

Coalition liberates Jakania after hard fought campaign: December 4635
The coalition drives the last deltarian troops out of Jakania after suffering major casualties and Jakania itself being mostly devastated by the fighting. Coalition forces wait with crossing the border as their forces are to weakened to immediately launch a assault into the mainland.
The coalition fleet finally manages to destroy the Deltarian home fleet stationed near the deltarian coast and Coalition forces finally launch their main naval invasion onto Deltarian shores.

Deltarian Czar calls for Deltaria to fight: January 4636
As Coalition troops finally attack from all sides with air superiority aiding them the deltarian czar calls on every man and woman to fight "till no enemy soldier is left" with a additional 200.000 people joining deltarian ranks in the coming weeks as a result. They are however poorly equipped and not trained, the deltarian army starts to disintergrate but fights for every inch of the homeland, resorting to guerilla tactics and systematic destruction to try and inflict as many casualties as possible

Cahtice is besieged, last Deltarian units make their stand, Deltarian navy launches attempt to break Coalition fleet: March 4636
The coalition has by now taken most of Deltaria and managed to find and confiscate its only nuclear bomb. Cahtice, the last Deltarian holdout, is besieged by coalition forces and a brutal house to house urban battle ensues. Meanwhile the deltarian navy, which has until now mostly resorted to convoy raiding in the open sea, launches a desperate attempt with its Nemec carrier strike group and Yegorovich carrier strike group to break the Coalition fleet and establish one last victory for Deltarian forces. They fail however and the last Nemec carrier and several of its support ships are sunk, dooming any attempt at a naval victory.

Cahtice is captured, the Czar attempts to escape but fails to do so, Czar abdicates: Late January to Early February 4636
Cahtice after a brutal siege and thousands dead (including the city being entirely devastated) is finally captured, the Deltarian Czar tries to escape but is captured just outside of the capital. Under pressure from the Coalition he officially signs his abdication and the Deltarian surrender. Deltaria is carved up into occupation zones (to be determined after) and its armed forces are disbanded. The remaining ground troops (350.000 or so) still fighting in pockets accross the country surrender within days. The war is over.

Early July, 4635
Battle Group "South" Headquarters, Stormkaap, Vanuku

Battle Group "South" (Dundorfian: Kampfgruppe Sud) had been activated by an act of the State Council and at its head was Generaladmiral Domenikus von Lÿndow-Sennhein as the commanding officer of the entire operation. The General-Admiral, the second-highest rank in the Dorvish Navy, was a veteran of the conflict in Suyu Llaqta and had become the Inspector-General of the Armed Forces of Dorvik, the highest position in the Dorvish Republic by virtue of Minister of Defense Franz Anton von Rohr-Mauss, the brother to the State Chancellor. The General-Admiral had selected veteran Landwehr (Army) Colonel-General Jorg Storhl as the operational commander of Battle Group "South". Battle Group "South" had taken up basing in Stormkaap, an island of Vanuku and had planned to be there for the long-haul. The Supreme General Staff had meticulously planned for the operation, the brunt of the work being conducted by the Warfare Command Office.

The Dorvish forces would be largely focused on the mainland assault on Deltaria versus the fighting in Jakania. The overall plan was for a wide array of first strikes against the coastal defense batteries and anti-air systems. The Dorvish Air Force was to conduct wide-scale SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defense) operations against northern Deltaria, focusing on removing the ability of the Deltarian Air and Air Defense Forces to conduct operations. The Dorvish would also be launching surgical strikes with the elite special forces of the Dorvish Fallschirmjager against radar, early warning as well as anti-air locations. The Dorvish estimated light to moderate losses in a force depletion report that was given to the ranking members of the State Council and the State Chancellery in the initial wave of aerial attacks.

These aerial attacks would be supported by cruise missile launches from Kordusian-class frigates and the Dorvish 1st U-Boat Flotilla will provide submarine security to the Dorvish naval ships within the Majatran Sea.

The Warfare Command Office had assigned the following units to the operation as the order of battle for the Armed Forces of Dorvik:
Dorvish Landwehr (Army)
10th Panzergrenadier Division "Sacred Dorivk" - Commander: General of the Panzergrenadier Werner von Riehl
11th Panzergrenadier Division - Commander: General of the Panzergrenadier Eugen Klopstock
12th Panzergrenadier Division - Commander: Major General Wanja Hector
1st Panzer Division - Commander: General of the Panzer Troops Wolfgang Wissmann
2nd Panzer Division - Commander: General of the Panzer Troops Reinhold Heffelfinger
23rd Panzer Division - Commander: General of the Panzer Troops Eugen von Mayr
1st Gebirgsjager Division - Commander: General of the Mountain Troops Siegmund von Schützenberger
2nd Gebirgsjager Division - Commander: General of the Mountain Troops Detlef von und zu Auerswald

Dorvish Fliegertruppe (Air Force)
107th Fallschirmjager Division - Commander: General of the Airborne Troops Petrus von Kreisel
11th Fallschirmjager Division - Commander: General of the Airborne Troops Albrecht Nachtigall
Elements of the following air force units: Jadggeschwader 11, 7, 117 and 97. Aufklärungsgeschwader 102 and Transportgeschwader 177
Assigned to the DNS König und Kaiser Ludwig: Flugzeugträgergeschwader "König und Kaiser" (Equipped with Navalized Unionfighters)

Dorvish Marine (Navy)
Navy Group Command "Reserve" - Commander: Admiral Karl Schubert
-- Support Fleet - Commander: Vice Admiral Dominik Behrends
Navy Group Command "South" - Commander: Admiral Lothar Schedl
-- South Ocean Fleet - Commander: Admiral Horst von Klauber
-- 1st Marine Infantry Division - Commander: Rear Admiral Niclas Büchel
-- 1st U-Boat Flotilla - Captain of the Sea Linus Tisch

Special Forces
Jagdverbands (Dorvish Special Forces) - Commander: Colonel-General Theophilus "Theo" von Hönigsmann
Panzer-Division "Grossdundorf" (Military Security Service) - Commander: Lieutenant General Felix Kirchwey
Stosstruppen (Army and Navy special forces) - Commander (Army Special Forces): Major General Jörg Weingand | Commander (Naval Special Forces): Vice Admiral Wolfgang Weinberger

CORRIERE'S WAR BULLETIN
First strikes hit Deltarian Forces while Istalia is fully committed to rebuild its Naval Forces
Image

12 August 4635 (OOC: Post-dated)

ROMULA - Istalia is raising its head: great industrial effort launched by the State to rebuild the fleet and the first air strikes are hitting Deltarian objectives in Jakania and Deltaria.

The Air Force jets can enjoy now Kalopian and Kazulian bases in Kalopia to start their rides. Soon the Imperial Air Forces will offer air coverage to the ground forces of the international coalition organized to free Jakania but for the moment primary objectives of Istalian Air Force are the supply lines between Deltaria and Jakania.
Higher up, on the other hand, the reconnaissance drones are collecting tactical and strategic information of the theater of war which the Inter-Forces Supreme Command is already obviously sharing with the allied forces.

The anti-aircraft defenses deployed by the Deltarian forces are proving to be rather aggressive and the General Staff reports two AF-43 "Falco" seriously damaged and one only miraculously returned to the base. Despite this, the limited capabilities of the Deltarian Air Force, focused on defending the most strategic objectives, are leaving a lot of freedom to the Istalian and coalition air forces and it is expected that in a short time the airspace will be totally under control while the anti-aircraft stations will soon be swept away.
Dominating the skies, coalition forces are inflicting serious damage on communication and supply lines, as said. The Imperial Istalian Air Force, in particular, is concentrating on the mountains that separate Jakania and Deltaria so as to divide the invasion forces from those in the homeland.

In Istalia, as mentioned above, most of the shipyards are engaged in the construction of new ships to remedy the Disaster of Alaria, the devastating surprise attack against the Istalian Naval Forces and to which the Carraro Government, whose majority has gained seats in the last elections, allocated billions for the reconstruction of naval forces.
War Bonds have been put on the market accompanied by large government campaigns aimed at citizenship invited to buy government bonds to support the war efforts; it is expected that the public debit will increase in next years but the uncertainty about the evolution of the war doesn't allow currently an extimation. Despite the well-known aversion of the Prime Minister's party for deficit spending, the obvious reasons of state and need for war have prompted the center-right government to take peremptory measures to face the conflict.
Destroyers and Cruisers are the priorities, the Navy General Staff said, so as to be able to fully restore the sea forces. At the same time, the refitting works on the two aircraft carriers remained in reserve for decades is proceeding quickly. The Navy General Staff praised for the occasion the foresight by the designers of the Fortezza-Class Aircraft Carriers who thought about future modernizations designing the vessels so that they could be easily and quickly updated and modernized greatly extending their operating life.

Istalia therefore wants to restore its naval forces as soon as possible so as to guarantee both national defense and the ability to project force, which are crucial for the continuation of the conflict.
In fact, despite the fact that the numbers of the Deltarian Armed Forces are lower than the numbers boasted by the regime's propaganda, as confirmed by the secret services, the Istalian General Staff stresses that further men and means will have to be sent in order to defeat Deltaria.

CORRIERE'S WAR BULLETIN
Istalia takes its vengeance: submarine raid destroys important rafinery in Deltaria
Image

30 September 4635 (OOC: Post-dated)

The General Staff of Defense made the announcement this morning at 8 am from the headquarters of the Inter-Forces Supreme Command: a mission organized in the utmost secrecy in recent weeks, was successfully completed in the night.
A group of 5 fast attack submarines of the Imperial Navy, last night at 9.15 pm Romula hours, detached themselves from the Submarine Interception Group sent at the beginning of the conflict in the Majatran Sea with the task of intercepting deltarian refurbishment ships; the 5 submarines approached the eastern Deltarian coasts aiming at an important industrial installation in Kéjencvár, Dissuwa, one of the major refineries of the country; undertaking an extraordinary operation to evade enemy vessels and surveillance systems, the navy units managed to get close enough to be able to launch nearly five dozen Land Attack Missiles against the industrial facilities.

Thanks to a contemporary air raid carried out in the area by the international coalition, which is gradually taking control of the airspace, the Deltarian defenses have been taken totally off guard by the attack coming from the sea.
With the anti-air and anti-missile stations busied to repelling the air raid, most of the istalian missiles have reached their objectives. The General Staff reported in detail the targets hit and the extent of the damage inflicted on the refinery: the refinery docks were destroyed and an old oil tanker sank there; the large berths for larger oil tankers and most of the ducts connecting to the refinery have been destroyed; then 9 spherical tanks were destroyed, two stabilization towers, one hydrotreater, one catalytic reformer, one of the main crude oil distillation unit (also the second unit was damaged); it was also damaged a part of a nearby power plant.

The General Staff said they were very satisfied with the success of the mission, which was organized not only to generate the maximum surprise and dismay for the enemy, but also as a retaliation to the Disaster of Alaria, to avenge the fallen ones. It demonstrated that the Deltarian mainland was vulnerable to external attack as well as it demonstrated, as said the Prime Minister Carraro, that "Istalia was not at all defeated and it has raised its head once again, repaying that beating with their same medicine and above all, knocking down the hammer of justice on those who dared to raise their hands against the Empire ". The Emperor, who personally wanted to announce that all five submarines left the conflict area without problems, from the San Camillo Military Airport of Padua, reviewing the troops about to embark on air transport to leave to Kalopia, wanted therefore to dedicate the victory to the 4,000 men who fell in the Disaster of Alaria, "who have died by one of the most cowardly criminal warfare actions in history", inviting the men and women leaving for the front keeping the banner high the flag and uphold the honour of the Empire:

I invite you to demonstrate, as many other times in the past, what the hardening and resoluteness of the Istalians may be. With strength and courage we will face the enemy head-on, because we do it for our murdered brothers, because we do it for oppressed peoples and those who are suffering, because we do it in the name of most noble and most virtuous ideals that no one can ever bend but in front of which they can only bow.

Long live the Empire, Long live Istalia!
