12 die when bomb intended for bank blows them up insteadCosta Golden, Keymon
December 5, 4770A terrorist attack thwarted by incompetenceA small group of individuals, demonstrated to be associated with the terrorist Organization Death to Terrorists blew themselves up when a bomb unintentionally detonated in their van outside a bank in Costa Golden this week. The blast left the bank unharmed but the explosion and resulting car fire killed all twelve nearly instantly, and left the apparent robbery uncommitted.
Witnesses on the scene described a van speeding into the parking lot, clearly out of control. Just before making the turn to the back of the building, where the terrorists intended to blast their way into the vault, the van exploded in a fireball, and caught fire. Those who were close to the scene were reportedly knocked over by the concussion, and the explosion set off several car alarms in the parking lot. There was also some structural damage to a back wall surrounding the bank property from the blast.
Death to Terrorists blamed the destruction on Prince Carlu: "Clearly," said a telecommunique to the press, "Carluists were in our ranks. One of them, a sabateur was inadvertabtly selected for the bank mission, and detonated the bomb himself. It is the only conclusion we can come to given the evidence. And for this horrible loss of life, we are going to visit pain upon 5 of their soldiers for every one our organization loses!"
This vowed wave of violence was generally dismissed by official voices who themselves haven't commented on the organization's activity in their country, nor have done anything to stop it.
Meanwhile, intelligence sources report that recruitment and donations to the organization from outside sources has dramatically increased, as the organization is somewhat fond of bragging on the Dark Web. According to Death to Terrorist sources, they gained 25 individuals, from all across the globe interested in carrying on the struggle for liberation in Keymon. Most recruits, the organization said, come from Keymon itself, while some have come from as far away as Gaduridos. Additionally, it seems that they remain well funded, primarily, it is supposed, through the sale of illicit drugs that they have begun smuggling out of Kalistan and Kalopia, and well armed, and their activity shows no sign of abating.
It would appear that Death to Terrorists, despite their failure in the bank robbery last week, remains a force within the more lawless reaches of the country.
