It's official: the new Gene and Seed Vault facilities have opened in Kalopia, ready to receive all the material from Selucia. The transfer is expected to begin in the coming months, taking the utmost care that each material is transported in the most appropriate way possible for its conservation and maintenance until it is housed in its corresponding new department.
The facility, which is very similar to the one that was located so far in Selucia, is located in the southern cordillera, in the Wantuni region, where its mountainous areas experience an Alpine climate, with much lower temperatures as elevation increases and regular snowfall in the winter, a much more suitable climate for the conservation of the samples and the installation itself.
The general director of the new facility will be doctor in genetics Yeorgia Teresaki, one of the most profilic scientists of Kalopia today, who has declared that she is "proud" to direct a project "so important and necessary", and has assured that she hopes to "convince remaining nations to sign up to the International Treaty for the Conservation of Samples (http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreat ... atyid=4798)"
