The Kingdom of Dorvik or Dorvik has been one of, not the strongest proponents of the Artanian Union since its inception. As the organisation's original founder, Dorvik has seen the organisation move through its various highs and lows and yet amidst all of this, continues to remain loyal and dedicated to the idea and the promise of the AU. Throughout the nation's history, Dorvik has been at the centre of numerous key points in Artanian history and remains the continent's single most crucial linchpin. Boasting one of the most prosperous and influential economies on Terra, the very size and scale of the Dorvish economy and its contribution to Artanian growth remains unmatched. Via its expansive foreign policy reach (largely grounded in pragmatism and realpolitik), Dorvik has moulded itself into one of the world's most influential geopolitical players, as it can boast of a long history of hosting international summits and mediating conflicts between neighbouring nations. Its highly industrialised economy makes it the continent's single most important market, as although it may not possess large consumer-based as other nations on the continent, demand from the nation's massive conglomerates is often responsible for export growth among most Artanian economies. At a time when there remains considerable uncertainty related to the prospect of continued growth on the continent, the Kingdom of Dorvik, in accordance with the Charter of the Artanian Union, assumes the Presidency of the Artanian Council with clear intentions to bring about a lasting transformation to the organisation and how it is perceived on the Artanian continent.

PRIORITIES OF THE DORVISH PRESIDENCY
The Kingdom of Dorvik has outlined its core priorities which will become the principal focus of its candidacy:

1. Expand the Artanian Union to include all nations of the Artanian continent.
2. Assist in the "foundational issues" that arise with the renewed Artanian Union.
3. Ensuring that sovereignty is protected while expansion and progress are achieved.

Dorvik is eager to lay the foundation for the success of the Artanian Union, dealing with any "foundational issues" with the renewed Artanian Union. The Dorvish Presidency will focus on developing robust protections for the sovereignty of member states but also fostering cooperation on a continental level to ensure that each member is prosperous and contributing.

HIGH COMMISSIONER
The Charter of the Artanian Union mandates that upon the appointment of the President of the Artanian Council, he/she may be empowered to appoint a "High Commissioner" who shall represent the interests of the Artanian Council and the Artanian Union as a whole in matters related to its relationship with nations and regions outside of the Artanian Union. In view of this, the Kingdom of Dorvik, in its capacity as President of the Artanian Council, has appointed Branimir Hanzek as High Commissioner who shall serve for the duration of Dorvik's time in the Artanian Council Presidency.

Who is Branimir Hanzek?
Although a child of Kundrati, Branimir Hanzek has been in the service of the Kingdom of Dorvish for much of his professional life. Educated at the University of Kordusia, he received his undergraduate degree in economics. He sought to further his education at the University of Drahon where he obtained a master's degree in international trade and commerce. He served in the Kundrati public sector as a senior policy adviser for the nation's Ministry of Trade and Industry, a position which he held for more than 10 years. He later moved to Dorvik where he held numerous positions in public and private sector companies as well as think tanks where he contributed to numerous debates on the future of Dorvish foreign and trade policy and the nation's relationship with Artania and the Artanian Union.

Honourable members, having constituted the Artanian Council and formally appointed the President of the Artanian Council, the business of this august assembly can formally begin. On the agenda:

1. Amending the Treaty of Dunblane to enable Keymonite ascension.
The Treaty of Dunblane is one of the Artanian Union's (AUs) two most important pieces of legislation. Alongside the Charter of the Artanian Union, these documents are bonified proof that a nation is an active and functioning member of the Artanian Union and is therefore entitled to accrue the benefits associated therein. As the Principality of Keymon, herein referred to as Keymon, is an aspiring member of the Artanian Union, having ratified the Charter, all that remains is for the nation to ratify the Treaty of Dunblane. The matter before the council is whether the Treaty of Dunblane should be amended to include Keymon as a signatory nation.

Seeing as Keymon has played a vital role in the re-formation of the Artanian Union and Keymon has often been involved in Artanian affairs, I would move to amend the Treaty of Dunblane to read as follows:

The members of this treaty shall be the signatory nations of the Charter of the Artanian Union and shall include those nations recognised herein:
