The first round of the season gets going and gone with Ethelsley Reds beating their bitter blue enemies easily at home. Gunners FC struggle against the newly promoted Orange Heros but still run out 0-2 away winners with two last minute goals. Northminster Villa also easily beat Bees United 0-3 away, and the Aristocrats were left humbled by local rivals, Fort Hammers United 1-0.

In Bourneports 0-1 defeat against Palace Eagles a peculiar moment happened on the 54th minute mark, the sprinkler system turned on which caused a disruption and a 15 minute delay for the restart. Both managers weren't happy with this incident in the post match interviews and the fans at the front of the stands weren't too happy. In fact, when the sprinkler system decided to make a splash of its own during the football match, the surround PA system decided to malfunction which only added to the calamity. A routine battle for three points turned into a waterlogged comedy of errors, leaving players and staff on the side lines alike in stitches.
