Conservative Party wins landslide election victory over incumbent government
7 March 5319

Elections results have been announced in the Democratic People's Federal Cooperative Socialist Republic of Wazristan and Pagrium. Despite having complete control of the country for most of the past eight hundred years, the Democratic People's Revolutionary Cooperative Socialist League has lost in a landslide to the Conservative Party.

For the past six elections, the League has won every legislative seat. Despite this, the newly founded Conservative Party appears to have won over the electorate. Pundits are suggesting that voters were convinced by the party’s legislative proposals, such as the “Bill” Act (5317), the “.” Act (5317), and the “x” Act (5318).

Having won over two-thirds of the seats in the national legislature, the Conservative Party is preparing to make a series of constitutional changes. The title of the head of state will be changed. Rather than “Xalıqtıq Arnayı Federaldıq Kooperatïvtik Komïssïyanıñ Törağası (Chairman of the People's Special Federal Cooperative Commission)”, the position will be known as “President”. In cultural matters, the historic and traditional national sport of gushtigiri wrestling is being replaced by football.

International analysts are baffled by the election results. For many years, the Democratic People's Federal Cooperative Socialist Republic of Wazristan and Pagrium has been a country with an extremely stable system of government and highly distinctive political culture. Yet it appears that in the course of a few short years, voters have decided they would prefer something completely different. Perhaps we will never know why…
