Films: War of Lost Souls

War of Lost Souls is a movie produced and distributed by Heritage Films and Valoir Studio from Lourenne and Sinama Eayn al-Nasr (Eagle Eye Cinema) from Badara. It chronicles the Beiteynuese-Lourennais conflict, otherwise known as Hubris War, an event that saw two of history's closest allies that had reshaped Terra as friends once already, now reshaping the world yet again; but this time, through a heartbreaking "brotherly war".

To better understand why and what led to the war happening, Grekidt Shteman and Louis Francois, the movie's co-directors, consulted with Gem Publishing over their material from the Heritage Trials and The Meddling Affairs.

Supposedly, the war is tied to the existence of a Yeudi Plot, executed across 3000 years by the House of Elior.

Teasers

These teasers were meant to infuse the background events of the likes of controversial book series The Meddling Affairs by Gem Publishing with the war itself, attempting to explain why it really happened.

Since it baffled Terra and even the Canrillaise and Yeudi People themselves, who loved each other dearly.

The number of teasers was purposefully the same as the 8 Gems.

Valoir Studio dropped the 1st teaser in 5478, 5 years after the end of hostilities, confirming the movie's existence.

At the end of the same month, the 3rd teaser taunted of the Yeudi Monarch striking a deal with the Canrillaise, assumed against the interests pursued by the House of Elior, judging by the hints of the Yeudi Plot.

Part One

Part One was released in 5485, which then went to steal the show at the Valois Film Festival in Lourenne, earning one award after the other for creating "a sense of awe, anticipation and a feeling of melancholy".

The movie begins with a sad rendition of Elior's Oath before the eerie drum beat kicks in, purposefully confusing the seemingly innocent events that took place during the Qedarite Migrations and the Ancient Era of Beiteynu with what later became known as the Yeudi Plot, formed by Theodore Aristocrat during the 2700s.

A plot eventually revealed across the decades by controversial book series The Meddling Affairs.

It was made clear that the House of Elior - the ancient Yeudish dynasty tracing its roots to Elior himself and Meleh Ishmael I from the 1st Yeudi Homeland and the Sacred Monarchy of Beiteynu - had in fact hatched a plan to use the 8 Gems and Elior's legacy around the Yeudi Diaspora and the Yeudi Heritage as a "means to an end" to spread the influence of the Yeudi People across the world.

What the modern world came to know as the Yeudish Neset, during the Emergence Era of Beiteynu. And it all started again when Baruch Lea Tzafrir of the Tzafrir House rose to power in 5199 and helped usher Beiteynu's first chapter as a global influencer and a financial empire across a vast network.

Giving birth to the Yeudi Way that reshaped Terra itself.

Love across the ages

The House of Elior is a dynasty that consists of many bloodlines - all Yeudi, but not Beiteynuese. While they may share a platform especially under the guise of the Yeudi Conclave, they are never truly in sync nor aligned.

- While the Kadmonim (Ancients) are essentially the obscure elders of the dynasty, the Aristocrat House was the primary driver of events especially during the Modern Era of Beiteynu and the times of the Kingdom of Yishelem by Luthori. They are Yeudis originating from east Majatra and south Seleya, sharing a particular fondness for Kalopia and the world of Canrille (Alduria, Kanjor, Rildanor and Lourenne).
- The Keshef House is consisted of mostly neutral bankers, their ancestry tracing to Keymon and Valruzia.
- Born out of the Aristocrats, the Tzafrir House is of Jelbic-Yeudi ancestry, its "militarist" roots sitting on the opposite side of the continent of Majatra in Jelbe, Vanuku and even Zardugal and Barmenistan. They are the only ones somewhat fond of the Kadiyots, the Beiteynuese-Yeudi family with members such as Noah Kadiyot who greatly opposed the Yeudi Plot during its final stages.
- The Goldbloom House that later entered the dynasty and gave birth to Elias Ishmael IV eventually became greatly entwined in the scheming traits and tendrils of the Yeudi Way.
- Leaving the Benowitz House, the Artanian-Yeudi titans of Yeudish shipping that played the most critical role in steering Beiteynu and the Yeudish Neset towards absolute alignment with the Holy Luthori Empire. They always sat at odds with the rest of the houses.

What had gone wry, you say?

Theodore, although he made the Yeudi Plot when he discovered Yeladim Keshef's notes in Keymon on the whereabouts of the long-lost 8 Gems, fell in love with Jacquil Debua, a bastard of the House of Orleans-Vasser.

And when Elias Ishmael IV and Nefariouiem Aristocrat gave the 2nd Gem to Lourenne, the House of Elior's civil war against the Benowitzes had began, culminating into the events that led to the war between Beiteynu and Lourenne.

A war that, for all intents and purposes, was about Luthori.

Part Two

Marketing and promotion amped up in 5492. It grossed 1.23 billion on its opening weekend in 5493.

Rise of the Yeudish Empire

From the Terran Remediation Agency, Allink, AllComm, the Equifund, the MSCO, JAMS and the Vamaj Network, Beiteynu and the Yeudish Neset spread out across Terra, exactly as the 3000-year-old Yeudi Plot had intended.

When the House of Elior re-ascended to the Yeudi Monarchy, the plan had reached the endgame.

From allies to enemies

After Dorvik's hegemony was dismantled by the Beiteynuese-Lourennais Alliance and with no contester in sight for decades, the rift between both countries began growing, as Lourenne could no longer "look the other way".

And thus, exposing and stopping the Yeudi Plot eventually became Lourenne's counter-endgame.

Escalation beyond return

With the Yeudi Plot on its final stage to set the Holy Luthori Empire to take over the continent of Seleya with the help of the House of Elior's Benowitzes, there was no scenario where Lourenne would back down.

And as Beiteynu's military doctrine called for defensive mandates, the war had now become inevitable.

Part Three was confirmed to be in production in the summer of 5493. Studios taunted a post-credit cliffhanger scene in 5502. It released in 5503. In 5511, it swept all awards at the Valois Film Festival in one of the event's most historic nights.

With the final warning issued, the first spillover wave hits Terra, as stock markets plummet, protests erupt and emergency broadcasts and states are implemented across the world. And the fear of world war quickly becomes a reality.
