Pápež condemns Alena
Danica confirmed as legitimate Czarina

Arch-Patriarch Neofit I

November 4067 - In a rare moment of Church interference in Deltarian internal affairs, Pápež Neofit I announced that, in the eyes of the Terran Patriarchal Church, the now dethroned Deltarian Czarina Alena I is a usurper and an illegitimate claimant to the Crown of Saint Štefan. Citing the unprecedented "election" of Alena as Czarina, the Pápež noted that neither the nobility nor the Church, both considered essential for a legitimate monarch in Deltarian tradition, assented to Alena's coronation, casting doubt over the legitimacy of her ascension. The announcement from the Pápež comes in response to calls from the wider monarchist world, most prominently from the King of Valruzia, for the recognition that the rightful heir to Czar Lubomir III is Alena's sister, Danica Volkova, the eldest daughter of Czar Aleksandr II currently reigning as the Queen Consort of Valruzia.

It is a rare occasion that the Church involves itself with political disputes, particularly Deltarian dynastic conflicts. The Terran Patriarchal Church has been largely subordinate to the Crown in all things Deltarian, ever since the reign of Czarina Marazanna the Great, and this type of interference in dynastic affairs has been unheard of since the height of the Deltarian Empire many centuries ago. However, although the Terran Patriarchal Church was essentially just another state department under the monarchy, the installation of a republic in 4058 proved to be very advantageous to the Church, since now without royal oversight the Pápež may speak freely and act independently of the absolutist Deltarian monarchy. One may even suspect that the Church itself was partly behind the fall of the Volkov monarchy, no matter how unlikely that accusation, which the Pápež would vehemently deny, may seem.

OOC: So there is a University in Hutori that is supposedly operated by the Terran Patriarchal Church. Who would have RP control over it?

OOC: Except for the Pápež and maybe the other central leadership of the TPC, all other characters and institutions associated with it fall under the RP control of the player that first introduces them in RP. For nationally or locally based characters and institutions, players in the respective nation have full rights over them.

The TPC is, ICly, a very centralized and hierarchical institution, but OOCly the characters that make it up should not be centralized in anyone's hands, since that would be impractical and unfair. If anyone wants to RP a Bishop, Archbishop, Cardinal, or whatever, feel free to do so; you should keep the character roughly within the limits of what a TPC official would likely do, of course, but other than that there really should be no limit.

Pápež Ľudovít IV formally rejects Kiki Cannonisation

Following campaigns to have the Communist Spy recognised as a Saint, the Pope of the Terran Patriarchical Church has formally declared that it will not happen under his watch. The Pápež also announced that he had plans to recognise Zog Thaller, a Deltarian War Hero during the breif Jelbek Invasion of Deltaria in 4290 in some fashion within the church. Whether this be via granting him Sainthood or by other means is unknown.

OOC: As a player in Deltaria, I am roleplaying the Pápež as a sort of Thaller puppet.

Pápež Ľudovít IV gives full endorsment to Anti-Communist League (ACL)

Pápež Ľudovít IV gave an official endorsment to the ACL following its intention to take a more active role in fighting communism. He called upon followers of the Terran Patriarchal Church to formally assist the organisation in their actions against Communism.

I give my full endorsement to this holy organisation that will purge the communist menace once and for all! This is the perfect opportunity to begin our holy crusade.
