Deputy Premier Bae Yoo-bin declares that Dankuk shall usher in a new era of "long overdue" reforms to the multilateral rules-based system
Seongtaek Federal City — Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bae Yoo-bin officially launched Dankuk's candidacy for membership of the World Congress Security Council at a small event in the nation's legislative capital this morning. During her remarks, Bae emphasized Dankuk's respect for international law, peace, diplomacy and human rights. Moreover, the Deputy Premier highlighted the work of Permanent Representative Yi Hyun-woo in the World Congress General Assembly who has advocated for universal adherence to the Declaration of Natural Human Rights, as part of a broad initiative to strengthen the rules-based international system.
"For over a decade the Government of Dankuk has sought to be an active and collaborative member of the international community," said Bae. "Our commitment to the World Congress and to multilateral cooperation is unwavering, and enjoys broad domestic political support."
The Deputy Premier expressed that Dankuk, as a non-partisan actor in international relations, will assist in ushering in a new era of "long overdue" reforms to the multilateral system. Bae also discussed at length the responsibility of the World Congress to actively participate in assisting with the sustainable development goals of least-developed nations. The Dranian Federation's platform is anticipated later this week.
"As an elected member of the World Congress Security Council, Dankuk will stand with those who need assistance and help give voice to those who are not at the table," Bae explained. "We will be a constructive partner for peace and progress."
