The Council of Localities for International Cooperation, or CLIC, is an international non-governmental organization which facilitates city twinning and other projects to support the activities of local governments in strengthening international collaboration around the world.

CLIC was founded in 4466 by Dranian Premier Hana Pastora de Santiago and Indralan Chief Minister Wei Jianxing.

The cities of Seongtaek, Dankuk and Kaizhou, Indrala have ratified a sister-city agreement. The agreement is designed to foster stronger economic development, trade and investment, tourism, youth, cultural, faith based exchange and educational linkages between the two cities, and to increase awareness of both cities as being growth cities in the connected health and life sciences, creative industries, tourism, financial services and the knowledge economy sectors.

This agreement represents the first of its kind, facilitated by the Council of Localities for International Cooperation.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mayor Ayleen Basri of Bahçeleri, Jakania has been elected as chairwoman of CLIC following a membership vote. Mayor Basri has received strong support from the citizens she represents during her time in office, presiding over sustained economic growth and social development.

"Together, we will enter into a new era of civic diplomacy," said Basri, "where ties between peoples can be strengthened despite the dictates of national government."

Citing the founders of CLIC, and the conditions under which CLIC emerged, Basri said she feels a great responsibility for expanding and revitalizing the organization.
