While the Zardic representative is more than welcome to advise the MSCC directly here, we will attempt to contact and consult with the Zardic Government towards either enforcing the Southwestern Naval Group (SW-NG) or backing away towards the north.

This is in regards to the latest headlines coming in from the country indicating a potential domestic strife, or at least rising security concerns.

We have no further information as of this point; by all means we may be overreacting.

Nikolao Savenido, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Zardugal
We can assure this Council that the Government of Zardugal is very confident in securing order and peace in the unstable rural regions. At the moment we do not see these insurgents as a major threat, more so a minor one, though of course a threat nonetheless. So to make sure that the continent remain free from instability and possible escalation of violence we will continually update this Council on the situation. By that, for the time being we see no reason for the Council to deploy any naval group, at least for now.

(OOC: This statement should be viewed as an attempt by the Zardic government to try to appear in control of an increasingly uncontrollable situation.)

We understand and appreciate the updates from the Foreign Minister. The MSCO remains at the disposal of member states.

If there are no objections from the Council, the Homeland State of Beiteynu would like to assume the position of Secretary-General for the time being, under advisement by the AllComm on unrelated [with the Zardic matter] security concerns towards the southeast.

Following diplomatic backlash on the escalating situation, Beiteynu withdraws its motion for appointment to the position of Secretary-General. Mr. el-Selim, as the 3rd and final Azhara seems inevitable, it is prudent to coordinate between the Kohav (Military Command) and Badaran Admiral Commanding.

Rajab el-Selim, Permanent Representative to the MSCO, Republic of Badara

While we appreciate the efforts of Beiteynu to support Majatran sovereignty, we would like to remind our friends in Yishelem that they cannot act alone and unilaterally; the CMRF and the ERZs currently dictate MSCO naval operations and as a member state of the MSCO Yishelem is expected to act in coordination with the aforementioned institutions - especially since the Sea of Lost Souls is far beyond the jurisdiction of Beiteynu’s ERZ and in fact falls under Badara’s ERZ.

Understood. I will relay the message to the Kohav (Military Command) and ensure that the Beiteynuese Naval Command coordinates and cooperates with Badaran Admiral Commanding by all means necessary in regards to its movements in the Sea of Lost Souls.

We fear that the Lourennais Royal Strategic Command will remain impervious to reason. The Beiteynuese Office of the Permanent Representative to the MSCO is actively engaged with the Medinat Department in attempting to de-escalate the situation before it reaches a point of no return.

Friends, it is a dark time.

Lourenne, though hubris, has attacked a Beiteynuese ship. This is a clear act of aggression, and a declaration of war. As members of the MSCO, we have a duty and obligation to protect our fellow member states. Therefore, Badara is announcing the full mobilization of its navy and airforce, to act in coordination with CMRF and the Beiteynuese fleet in the area.

We cannot let our sovereignty be questioned and tested like this with no response; we must let Lourenne know it has overstepped its bounds, and it will not be forgotten nor forgiven until the last Lourennais ship in Majatran waters has left or been sunk.

This is an absolutely disastrous situation. We need immediate measures; the Homeland State of Beiteynu nominates Badara as Emergency Secretary-General to help coordinate MSCO efforts more effectively. If there are no immediate objections, we should proceed with the appointment.

It is with great humility we accept this nomination. I shall serve, for the duration of this war, as Emergency Secretary-General, and be replaced by Interim Representative to the MSCO Halia Mahdi.

As my first action as Secretary-General, I will lobby the nations of the MSCO to lend a hand to the defense of our sovereignty, and request declarations of war on the rogue United Kingdom of Lourenne for their shameful actions in the Sea of Lost Souls. We cannot, and will not, tolerate this disrespectful foolishness in our backyard. Lourenne can govern itself - and the rest of Terra - how it wishes, but it will not govern Majatra. Not today, not tomorrow.

We will not stop until every last ship is rotting at the ocean floor.

That is a promise, my friends.
