Too bad P2 broke down, we were sort of doing this on there. As for this idea, I agree with EEL. Too much hard work went into it.

We don't necessarily have to dump everything down the drain. Much of what I wrote in Beluzia's wiki was dated pre-game.

Yes, but the entire background of certain nations evolved in-game.

We could carry some of the in-game developments over into history for the reset.

Would such a thing even be possible technically?

What I mean is: write all the important stories and carry them over as history.
We'd have a fresh start, with background stories from the developments that took place before the fresh start.

It's just to keep the stories. They wouldn't have that much weight.

We might not be dumping everything down the drain, but in a full game reset, I find it difficult to believe that we'd lose less than two-thirds of it.

It could be interesting to put just 1 or 2 nations aside that would be regularly "reset" - maybe once every 3 months. That would present opportunities for people to try something different, without running up against Cultural Protocols, previous histories, existing parties etc.

That's an interesting idea that I think is worth pursuing further. The problem about it, however, is practicality.
