Where did JBN go?

Postby SelucianCrusader » Mon Jul 16, 2012 11:36 pm

Where did he go? (I assume that s/he is a he, since I still haven't heard of any girls playing this game, feel free to surprise me if you know otherwise :D) I miss him, and I'm quite disappointed in some way I must say. You don't just don't give all that you've got and suddenly drop out! Though I could understand him if something important happened to him IRL. Some of us have got a life. ;)

JBN did many great things. We have him to thank for many important contributions to our game, and many fun hours of roleplaying. I will remember him as a both funny and kind person. But foremostly, I will remember him as a pursuant of realpolitik, JBN knew that our ideological views were vastly different both IC and IRL, with him being a liberal socialist, and me being a right-wing conservative christian democrat and catholic on top of that. But he didn't care, neither IC or OOC, he was a nice fellow anyhow. One of the most important developments in the ATR from yet after he started it towards his disappearance  I would expound as the transformation from a cultural radicalist organization, towards the acceptance of authoritarians and nationalists into it. I was myself welcomed as I realized that my claim on Pontesi was in direct conflict with the IML's agenda. For JBN, the most important thing was the world-wide dominance of the ATR. I for myself, hope that we'll continue in this direction so that dictators not recognized by the IML can work with us instead.

I understand what I just wrote might look as a mess of OCC and IC. I guess what I wanted to say can be lined down to: "Why isn't JBN with us anymore?" and "Why hasn't anybody reacted to this?" To me, it feels like a great loss..

His disappearance has indeed left a big void in the game's RPing community.

I messaged him and he never read it until 6 days after. He barely logged in during his last 2 weeks, so I'm assuming that either he has no consistent net access at the moment (maybe due to vacation or a natural disaster where he lives) or maybe he just slowly lost interest (which would be unexpected, but I've dedicated time to other RP games and eventually lost interest anyway - even near times of major events).

We had similar views OOC, but I Beluzia was set up for "special" reasons ;)
It's too bad I no longer have him as a guide. All I have is Liu Che.

Well this is what happens with people who play this game. People come and go. Some stay for a moment and others play for years to just disappear without saying a word. JBN is not the only one. We lost Xanathos, Bucsfan, Darvian, Greekidiot, Rep (who btw is the only girl i know of playing this game, not saying there are no other girls) and i have probably missed a few more players of old. But thats how things go. People lose interest in the game or just dont have enough time to keep playing.

Not to mention Molotov, Dynastia, Jethro, Jonothona, WilliamReynolds (and some more whose names I really don't recall now), and other very active players (although some were distinctly more active in the forum, and there are a few very old players who are still playing, but don't do much in the forum anymore).
But JB leaving without saying anything was especially sad since we were both in the middle of an RP, which has now completely dissolved.

Also, Dundorf Unionist Party/West Riding/Bible and Crown Defenders. Miss his orange-order approach in Luthori.
