Change of countries name by a vote on legislation?

Postby jazzster786 » Sat Dec 29, 2012 5:03 am

Hi,

I am playing Particracy from the nation of "Le Royaume Yeudi de Beiteinu [The Yeudish Kingdom of Beiteynu]", and I am wanting to change the name of my nation by a vote. But I cannot find it in the list of legislations, to change a countries name. Is it possible??? :?:

It's not part of the actual articles in the game, it's merely by creating a bill, for example

Bill title: National Name Reform
Bill description:
Article I - The name of the nation shall change from "Le Royaume Yeudi de Beiteinu [The Yeudish Kingdom of Beiteynu]" to the "State of Beitenynu".

and you can then put that to vote. It needs to pass with a 2/3 majority of the players (I believe thats the rule now). and once thats been done/passed successfully you post it in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4361 and the moderators will get to it and change it.

Hope thats what youre looking for.

Enjoy,
Farsun.

I've heard its a rule that the name change must be proposed in a bill that does not have any visibility affecting proposals in it. (So as to avoid having national name change proposals be a "poison pill" to mess with peoples' visibilities.) Can anyone confirm if that is true, or if I just imagined that rule?

It's not a rule.

And it's probably (or least it should be) suggested.
