Better Advertising...

We need players. Plain and simple. Many countries have barely one functional party and many others have suspected multi's....now I have no idea on costs but how much would it cost to advertise somewhere else for the game?
However we could use cheaper options as well...a Facebook page (not managed by Zanz or the way he runs IRC) could go a very long way in boosting interest in the game and open new doors on how to get the word out about how great and fully functional PT is! Thoughts?

Why don't you go advertise on NationStates and Cybernations.

I'm not sure about to what extent we need new players, really. If PT were to be advertised by ad banners and such, I'd fear we would get a lot of "ZOMG President of the Federal Republic of Blandistan"-noobs.

And if anything, this game (or rather, it's successor) needs to be developed to at least the beta stage to be attractive to most people. The game in it's current form is little more a random number generator mechanism and a bunch of nerds who like RP (and a few noobs), it needs to get a lot more features and look a lot sexier if we are to challenge NS.

It's unlikely that that will ever happen. Unless of course you're willing to buy P2 from Wouter, fix it up and implement all of those sexy features you want.

Maybe one of us could write an article about Particracy for a game magazine or for a popular online website or something? That might attract a bit of interest.

First, I fail to see how you could even run a Facebook page like a chat server like IRC, so that little jab at Zanz was pointless. Also, Facebook pages are more for updating members already on the site than to gain new ones... But I do agree we need to try to get more people to join.

We need a Wikipedia article and we need to link it to high-volume but still content-related hubs.

-Political Simulation Games
-Forum Based Roleplaying Games
-Free Multiplayer PC Games
etc.
