Most of you, if not all, will have noticed that I ceased activity at around May 20th. This is because at that time I was diagnosed with a severe illness, and immediately taken to intensive care, where I spent the next weeks without any real means (or ability) of communicating with about anyone. I managed to finally contact Wouter and tell him about my illness at the beginning of June, recommending to choose Aquinas as moderator, which he luckily did. I was able to go home about two weeks ago, and am now fit enough (and have the necessary technical equipment - internet access, laptop) to resume moderating, and am now more than happy to return to this community.
I understand, of course, the initial anger at me for becoming inactive - after all, the community wasn't notified of anything until Aquinas was appointed - especially since I was already swamped with work before, which had led to me being only able to log in every second day, sometimes only every third day even. So while I was very happy to read some of the sentiments here when people found out I was ill, I also want to make it clear that I of course don't bear anyone any bad will because of things they said about me during my absence.
I also apologise for not having chosen another moderator already - I was talking to a few, one of them Aquinas of course, when the illness hit me, but that is something that I should have done sooner (and exactly for such occurences), and for that, again, I heartily apologise.
To sum up: I'm back now, very glad to be working together with Aquinas (and that he and Wouter wanted me back in the first place), and especially this community, that I did indeed miss in this uncomfortable time.
