They're coming back?Polites wrote:I just have one thing to add to this debate, specifically about the role of the RP team. Although you guys haven't seen much actual input from us as an official team, that don't mean we're just sitting on our asses. We've been building up a (hopefully) decent and universally acceptable standard for economic and military ranking, we're working on developing the colonies, and we're also figuring out how to best exercise our right to create global RP. None of that has been made public yet, but it will, shortly. Just have some patience. We are particularly keen on having our rankings be acceptable to as many players as possible, while being both accessible to most and allowing those who want something more in-depth to have their say. This is a huge task, and it may take a while before it is fully fleshed out and ready to be released to the public. OTAF is indeed not official, and it is likely it will not become official in the near future. But, we fully recognize the hard work that was put into developing the system, and we are certainly using the Manual as one of our main sources of inspiration.
Sounds like a plan!Polites wrote:Back to the topic: what if we have the Deltarian crisis escalate? Deltaria could have a small slave uprising that they would try to crush with the help of Trigunia & co., while Vanuku & co. would try to support the rebels. Since Majatra is the powder keg of Terra, it's fitting that a world war should start there.

Aquinas wrote:Please give the Global Role-Play Team time to get to work. As Polites rightly said, what they are doing is a substantial project. It will take time to develop more fully, although I can tell you from what I've seen already that considerable thought and work has already gone in.
Aquinas wrote:On another matter, there seems to be some confusion about the Rildanor Accord. Rildanor is not part of the Game Rules and serves only as voluntary guide. This has been the case for a long time (ever since Amazeroth's "Rules of the Game" were introduced after the Inquisition finished).
I also got that vibe. Shame he couldn't refrain from multiing. Farsun has done a great with some parts of the game, and has been surprisingly nice and helpful towards me as well. It's a sad thing that a guy who so likes the military is so bad at following orders.hts wrote:I was starting to get that vibe by the way Xinz was commenting. Shame that all this happened, Farsun has helped me out a lot in the past and in my experience was a pretty nice guy. Obviously he was a bit overaggressive, and at times he was overly hostile to new players, but in the end it is still a shame he is gone.
Oh boy, those were the days.. Basically Aquinas managed to successfully orchestrate a forum revolution in July 2013, after a series of abuses committed by Farsun and Zanz as moderators, under the influence of a certain person with clear sadistic tendencies whom we shall not mention. Anyway, after all that, Amazeroth kicked Farsun from his status as moderator. Wouter then stepped in and appointed IdioC his "Inquisitor" to solve the issues in the community. Many felt that IdioC was biased towards the Zanz-Farsun side (I was quite sure I was going to be banned myself). After more than a week or so, IdioC ragequited and unilaterally removed the previous ruleset (Pax Cynica, which was his work from long ago) leaving us without no rules except Amazeroth's "good graces".
Which turned out great, IMHO.
