But again, that would probably be modified according to other factors like population, and how other players saw/deemed the nation, like Kubrick said.

It's also important to remember that the economics system of Particracy never completed development. It's a good thing to use as a reference, but it's difficult to draw comparisons between real life and the numbers in the game's economies. Nations can choose to tax their people 100% in PT's economic system without any dire effects, and that's just plain not cool. Also, we've never even really been able to agree if 1 LOD = 1 USD, so who knows how much 1 GAD equals.

If you're interested, you might take a look at this old thread which links to a document I wrote with a lot of community members a long time ago. In it we gave a couple of recommendations for budgets in PT:

We will remain between 0% and 5% military spending as a percentage of GDP in most cases, and will only reach higher than 10% in extreme cases where the situation is well RPed and thought out.

We will remain between roughly 15% and 55% expenditure as a percentage of GDP in most cases, and will only reach higher in extreme cases where the situation is well RPed and thought out.

I welcome any comments you might have on that document in its whole.
Just a bunch of shit.

Hi Zanz,

I'll take a look and let you know but your quoted figures definitely seem sensible.

Ahoy, neighbor. I remember the day when Gaduridos was the home of Siggon Kristov. But I don't really recall Gaduridos being RPed all that much. Course- I didn't RP Kalistan very often on the forums much back then either.

I am playing Kalistan as a nation with aspirations of regional hegemony over the Anantanese Ocean, which washed your northern coast. Perhaps we will have some opportunity to work together on regional security matters in the future.

Now I know that Gaduridos was supposed to be a Caribbean/West Indies themed. Correct me if I am wrong. I plan on going to Gaduridos soon and bringing it back. I might curb it to have the Politics, Economy and Military of T&T and the Culture of countries like Jamacia, St.Lucia. (That is if Gaduridos was supposed to be Caribbean themed.)
