Feedback: Real-Life Equivalents Index

Postby Moderation » Wed May 18, 2016 11:16 pm

As some of you may have noticed, we have just drawn up a Real-Life Equivalents Index in order to help players with finding in-game equivalents for real-life concepts, like cultures, languages, religions and so on.

The Real-Life Equivalents Index is not compulsory, but it is there for guidance - and we are confident many players will find it both useful and interesting.

This is intended to be a living, breathing, evolving document. For this reason, this thread is here for players to suggest any additions/corrections/clarifications they would like to see made.

I love it, Prometheus! Thanks for that

Updated (although I've entered the Jewish entries into the culture section as well as the religion section).

Hungarian: Endralonian (language: Syldavian), Dissuwan.

Japanese: Kunikata

New Endralonian (language: Zyldavian) is also Hungarian and Kuzaki (language: Kuzaki) is also Japanese.

Syldavian is already there, but I've added Kuzaki.

Can we add Artanian for European and Esinsundu for African (Dovanian (of some version) might be better for Africans but Esinsundu is already part of the game lore and used in several CPs. Kuragao is indeed a catch-all but it isn't used that way in RP nowadays and is very rare in the current game world).

Is there an established Particracy equivalent of either Rastafari or Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia? If not, am I alright to go ahead and establish one.

One of hts, CCP or I are planning to start a Rastafari movement (Rasezanaism) in Malivia as part of establishing it as Jamaica/the Caribbean. Closest thing to Haile Selassie I is Ezana Yakub. viewtopic.php?p=62649#p62649

Nothing really stopping you from continuing on that path, although if we're both planning on doing this we might want to work out a common origin or something to keep everything neat.
