Standing down

Postby Aquinas » Mon Jan 23, 2017 5:20 pm

Owing to a change in personal circumstances, I am standing down as a Moderator.

For all its challenges, my involvement with Particracy has been a real privilege - both as a player and later as a Moderator. Thank you, everybody. You have a special place in my heart, and I am and always will remain grateful to this game and this community.

I particularly want to thank Reddy, who has been a great friend and who has helped me a tremendous amount. He will now be holding the helm by himself, which can be a daunting task (I should know, since I've been there!) but I've no doubt at all he will do a great job. Please give him all the co-operation and support you can - not just for him and for me, but for the good of this project we are all a part of.

I will probably be keeping a low profile for a while, so you might not see so much of me, but I'll be back in due course.

But for now, goodbye - and good luck.

Whoa! That was unexpected.

So sorry to hear that. I really don't know what to say. All the best wishes to you, old friend! :(

I can't say the same as SelCru, since I saw this coming a long time ago when you told me but.. Tough to see you step down, Aquinas. You have been the anchor of Particracy during your tenure as moderator and I'm very proud to have worked together with you during times like the RP Team. So a warm thank you from me!

All I can say, don't become a stranger! I look forward to roleplaying with you again, so when you step out of the shadow of your low profile send me a message.

You know I hate formalities, and I hate sugarcoating things. I won't lie to be nice or polite, so what I'm saying here is honest.

Despite our differences, I think you have done an excellent job at being a moderator, and you have set some unprecedented standards that will be tough to maintain for anyone who becomes a moderator in the future. I can say I got along more with Amazeroth in general, but you have definitely done a better job in serving the community as a moderator. You have put in much more effort than a volunteer usually would.
Check out my latest Particracy project, and feel free to discuss it in the forums.

Sad to see you go, you've been a great and impartial moderator and your departure from the steering wheel is a great loss for this community. Looking forward to RPing with you again once you've left your low profile.

Particracy without Aquinas?

Impossible.

It is truly sad that you are standing down and hope that whatever has happened, it will work out.
