The Problem with dead languages

I am currently playing in Cildania wich is multicultural but it has a majority Phonecian prescense.

It is really hard to translate and such.

Should I change the cultural protocols in Cildania?

Hey there Ludwig!

Cildania is a Culturally Open Nation so changing the cultural protocols is indeed open to you if that is what you wish to do!

If you'd like to instead preserve the Cultural Protocols you could RP as a minority group political party or movement so as Yeudi or Selcucian if that is an easier.method for translations.

If it's an issue with the Cultural Protocols themselves don't hesitate to reach out to any other Cildanian players (should there be any) that may have more experience or directly to the Moderation Team (Reddy & SelCru)

As the Colonel noted, Cildania is in fact Culturally Open, meaning that you are free to use whichever language, living or dead, for the nation name, in game variables, your party name, or your character names.

That being said, it would be a good idea to check out the Cultural Protocols Cildania had before it became culturally open. As you can see in that bill, the most recent cultural update deliberately did away with Phoenician as the main language of Cildania and replaced it with the far more accessible Maltese language. I can get into more details about the roleplay background behind the switch from Phoenician to Maltese if you're interested, and you could also take a look at the OOC discussion about updating Cildania's CP before the last version was passed.
