Resource maps and information

Postby jamescfm » Sat Dec 09, 2017 10:45 pm

The role-play team are looking to create a series of maps to illustrate the distribution of resources in Terra. Obviously this is a difficult and delicate task and so we need all the help we can get. In order to guide us in our decisions, we'll be considering past role-play and the realistic chances of resources being located in particular regions. While we'll do our best to consider all role-play, we obviously can't know everything so if any players have information or role-play they think we should consider, please let us know either in a response to this thread or by sending it to us privately. Initially, we will be focusing on crude oil though precious metals, natural gas etc. will be done eventually too.

Thanks guys!

Indrala for the past 65 in-game years or so has been operating on the assumption that Indrala is very mineral rich, though resource extraction has been underdeveloped and problematic due to domestic economic and political conditions. From the wiki:
The country is rich with mineral and thermal energy resources. A recent discovery of natural gas reserves in the Magsalaya Oil fields off the northern coast is already being used to generate electricity in three gas-powered plants. Indralan gold, nickel, copper and chromite deposits are among the largest in the world. Other important minerals include silver, coal, gypsum, and sulfur.

I outlined some of the economic conditions of Indrala here, which gives some summary of the roleplay with regard to natural resources, though it is admittedly just an overview.

I will try to compile more RP info on resources in Indrala in the future, if necessary.
