When I was playing in Jakania, I felt the population should probably have been higher given that it is based on Turkey. I think this could be reasonably explained in terms of contemporary developments (a period of relative prosperity and urbanisation), I would favour a figure somewhere between 53 and 56 million. Given the devastating nature of the conflict in Rapa Pile, perhaps the Pilese population should fall a little (maybe around 4.5 million) as a result of deaths and emigration.
As a side note, I believe that the population figures should be moved from the current spreadsheet to a thread on the forum, something I raised with Farsun while I was Moderator. The current document is messy, difficult to navigate and in some cases just flat inaccurate. For example, the information page has no country as "least populated" and Yingdala as "most populated" while some of the countries are named spuriously ("Kalopia-Wantuni", "Hawu-Ikradon" or "Dankuk/Kyoseon").
Normally mistakes like these could be fixed by a co-Moderator but only Farsun can access the spreadsheet which means we are relying on him to do it (which never happened when I asked). Aside from that, I just would prefer not to have to leave the forum to look at population figures and at the moment, they are displayed much clearer on the relevant wiki page. I appreciate that this is not the explicit purpose of this thread but an update to the figures would be an opportune time to fix the problem.
