Excellent idea about “pre-history.” My predecessor in Kalistan, pentalarc, wrote fantastic pre-history, much of which has been lost due to people saying “oh, this bullshit don’t make any sense, and doesn’t apply to me, so I’ll just ignore it and act like it never happened.” I have however, been able to preserve a lot of it, and would like to formally add it to a canon record at some point.

In my opinion, something like this could be fun. Are you thinking something along the lines of conducting historical rp in the same fashion as we do the regular post (just prolly not entirely through newspaper articles), or maybe through the writing of journals and scholarly articles from the modern point of view detailing historical events?

The original concept behind this idea was (and sort've is) to explore some the game's pre-history or pre-game history, basically anything before the 2000 start date. The issue that has come up, both amongst Moderation and players, is the "canonicity" of such events. I've spoke with a few players regarding the formation of some sort of "committee" for lack of a better word to solidify large swathes of the game's "history". One of the many problematic issues with Particracy is the fact that several major events have shifted, changed or not happened. Polites has done a masterful job of expanding on large components of world history as have others, while its in its early stages (largely in my head), I think that this idea could work following the establishment of this sort of committee.
