Notice: Changes to Section 7 of the Game Rules

Postby jamescfm » Fri Aug 28, 2020 7:18 pm

Please note that Moderation has made a couple of minor changes to Section 7 of the Game Rules concerning Cultural Protocols. Both of the changes concern the length of time that a player needs to be active in a country before making changes to the its cultural status. Previously a "request for culturally open status" and a proposed Cultural Protocol in a culturally open country required the support of at least one party that had been continuously active for at least thirty days. From this point forward that length of time has been reduced to only seven days.

The purpose of this change is to make it easier for players to amend or remove Cultural Protocols that are confusing, poorly written or otherwise problematic. In the past few months we have heard from players that the current rules make this process to difficult and time-consuming, so we have decided to reduce the restrictions. Moderation will retain the ability to deny these requests and proposals if they put the long-term role-play history of the country at risk.

Please let us know if you have any concerns or questions.
