Ntoto Civil War Planning Thread

This is the start of the planning thread for the Ntotoan Civil War, Please contribute what you want to, I have the authority to grant and to not grant requests. Remember this is a civil war not a World War... I will not let this get out of hand, so. Keep things realistic, remember that this will be bloody and no clear side is going to be the "good guys" so with those disclaimers out of the way,

Here is my Plan

January 4878 - Government Leaders Arrested on suspicion of treason

March 4878 - Trial filled with corruption ends, without a court order the cabinet is sentenced to death by beheading. This is carried out on live TV in front of Ntoto.

4879 - (Exact Months left out for wiggle room and for room to work with), - Protests start all over Ntoto, many want Ogoo arrested, Ogoo makes a statement that he is leading Ntoto into the future

4880 - Ogoo orders increased police presence throughout Ntoto as streets are locked down. People told to go to their houses. Police clash with civilians, no one is killed yet….

4881-4882 - Inspired by the peace and stability of Liore, Socialist Idealist Birom Ouattara begins rallying support for raf leftist causes in Ntoto, he is met with little enthusiasm. The Democractic Movement Continues to Grow Creating International Headlines, because of this, Baltusia allows militias to come to Ntoto, this is met by disdain from the Socialists and Government forces but they insist on installing a democracy, even the chants of joining NACTO float around. They are met with enthusiasm from the Democracy supporters and add to their strength. However this will not last...

4882-4883 - Police clash with democractic protesters killing 14 people and a young girl. Protests explode across the whole nation. Armed rioters burn down Ntoto museums. One security officer is severely beaten with a machete before dying, the officer was a Socialist Supporter.

4883-4884 - Using the dead officer as a rallying cry the cause for Socialism explodes. Left Wing supporters flood the capital and find it empty. The Socialists gain in strength as Liore begins to send peacekeepers into Ntoto. The Republican wing is still strong but now has blood on their hands.

4884 - 4886 Government forces kill a Socialist Leader second only to Mr. Birom. The Socialists start ransacking villages, hacking people to death and indiscriminately killing those that oppose them. Legions of Government soldiers flip sides as they cannot handle the carnage. Refugees start to flood into Liore and Utembo. Liore begins to send Peacekeeping forces to help the sick and injured.

4886-4887 After a long manhunt the Former Government of Ntoto is caught and given a trial. Fighting still increases throughout the country. Liore Peacekeepers establish a peace zone on the Utembo border and stabilize the situation peacefully. Birom Ouattara calls for peace however fighting still continues

4888- General Ogoo and his government are charged with treason and murderous charges, they are beheaded in private.

4889- The People’s Republic of Ntoto is founded, the last of the fighting dies down and the country begins the long process of rebuilding.

Not so much a request but a query: what role do you see for the World Congress in this conflict? Liore sending peacekeepers would seem to imply some role for international involvement but that may lack support from the Security Council. Though I don't think there would be a compelling case for intervention in an internal conflict necessarily, this may be a problem if we have foreign countries getting involved.

I think quite frankly the WC should be or at least I hope they are concerned about the war. The amount of death and destruction is going to he horrible. For now there will be a reaction from the WC in response to my Dictator killing off 16 cabinet ministers. Liore will be doing things according to the WC, they will intervene only to help the injured and those that desperately need help. Baltusia is not going to officially let their government intervene. I am still waiting for Endralon's ideas however it will stay a internal conflict I do not wish for this to spill out into the rest of Terra. The WC should condemn the conflict and if you so choose, maybe start a peacekeeping mission there, like what wasn't done in Rwanda. However that is unlikely especially with the current state of the SC. However if you agree to it I am more than happy to allow it.

In 4882-4883, Yingdala would sanction Ntoto. You can rp the scope of the affect that has on the country. You suggested a blockade in discord. I don’t wanna get too involved because it is a civil war and such, but if you’re still interested, i’ll send a naval fleet as a blockade to just, ya know, observe the conflict.

After the republic is founded, we can discuss lifting sanctions. Again, I don’t wanna get too involved.

You could also tolerate in the civil war genocide of a minority racial group to rile up the international community. Or implement purge-like policies. Just thoughts.

The Directorial Republic of Endralon (not the NACTO this time) would support the Democrats, both in national propaganda and in the World Congress. I would even write Battle Unseen posts that secret Endralonian agents training the Democrats, give them equipment and etcetera.

Plus, I would do some common work with Yingdala on this, maybe sanction Ntoto together or stuff like that; while I would also help the Baltusian volunteer militia groups with training or equipment.

It is what I can offer, without any too much involvement, its up to you guys how to decide.

Utembo will gladly welcome refugees from the war. As for support, Utembo will stay mostly neutral and will support the winning side after the war is over.

As stated in the original post, Liore will remain officially neutral and only send peacekeepers to establish "peace zones" where we can assist refugees and prevent conflict on the smaller scale. As I don't see this as us getting involved in the war, I don't see it as warranting WC sanction under Resolution 110, though I was thinking though that the SC may wish to send its own peacekeeping force or assist the Liori one given the level of violence that will be occurring during the war.

While the Liori peacekeeping force is present (and seemingly neutral) it will be allowing the socialist troops to pass in and out of and operate within the peace zones without impunity (unless ofc they start violating the peace, then they get the same treatment as an Endralonian doing so). I didn't mention this to Alaskan yet, but I'd also propose that we train socialists to form "domestic peacekeeper units" which will officially be ordinary peacekeepers but will actually be forming the basis for occupation forces in the socialist territories. At the end of the conflict, the Liori peacekeepers will happily relinquish control of the peace zones to the socialist government, leaving Ntoto having conducted a run-of-the-mill peacekeeping mission.

Lodamun will maximum condemn or try talk it in the World Congress, thanks to our isolationist stances we prefer non-interventionism or do it reluctantly, no way for us to send troops or anything like funds or aid.

I could involve Ostland somehow in this, I think we briefly discussed this. Ostland would certainly want to play a role in protecting stability in Dovani and avoiding "outside" interference.

Utembo can gladly make a post about refugees, Also Liore, I've got your actions down, nicely and you are can do what you had planned, What kinds of things would Ostland like to do? I am fine with most options it depends on what you are looking to do. Again thanks for the feedback I am trying to make this as realistic and well done as possible!
