I am going to use this thread to create a list of treaties that have an international scope that I think all countries should consider ratifying.

Convention on the Humane Treatment of Prisoners of War. Establishes standards for treatment of prisoners of war.

Gene and Seed Vault Project. Storage of seeds and genetic material.

Global Emancipation Treaty. Bans slavery.

International Agreement on Nuclear Non-Proliferation (IANN). Regulates nuclear weapons.

International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Establishes standards for aviation.

International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Protects biodiversity and endangered species.

Law of the Sea. Regulates international maritime law.

Treaty for Racial Equality. Prohibits segregation and race-base citizenship policies.

Treaty for the Protection of Endangered Animals. Bans hunting endangered animals.

Treaty on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (TRIP). Establishes the rights of indigenous peoples.
