I noticed how Louis and I have made sus, organic storylines a little bit of a thing in international RP, as a trend. A lot of players have enforced this play-style, which is absolutely epic, but it kinda sits on the opposite end of proper OOC planning, more often than not leading to confused POVs from players.

So I thought of starting a "here's how i'm going to RP on this" thingy, so that we (hopefully) get less confused when the "what" isn't exactly planned.

Nation: Beiteynu (Majatra)
Summary:

Beiteynu's mannerism and conduct in both domestic and international affairs is based on the Yeudi Heritage, which gave birth to the Yeudi Way. As a self-proclaimed Yeudi Homeland, it exists to protect the Yeudi People across Terra by serving their needs and interests within the Yeudish Neset.

As such, Beiteynu is known as a "meddling state", one that prefers to move indirectly (Beifartsouf).

Its primary tool against potential and confirmed enemies (Reshimat Hara), is that of creating, empowering, arming and pitting adversaries against those enemies.

Often entangling everyone involved in a complex web of geopolitical relations, on purpose.

Making it absolutely obsessed with deterrence tactics and policies, especially in the Migrant's Pass and the Jelbek Peninsula, the two most vital regions in terms of homeland security.

Thanks to this widespread reach and influence within that reach by multiple entities, Beiteynu's overall conduct is often described as double-faced, in the grey and an oxymoron of a "bad guy" with good intentions.

(i.e. to deter X, it empowers Y against X, then it enables Z against Y, just in case Y ends up replacing X; all of this in an endless cycle)

Nation: Dual Republic of Narikaton & Darnussia (Artania)
Summary:

Narikaton & Darnussia is dominated by a obsessive relationship with business, money and the general generation of wealth. "Ideology is no matter for the wise"

The Dual Republic is ruthlessly pragmatic and seeks to further its economic influence by offering mutually beneficial agreements. "Yeah, I'm a whore"

There are deeper personal ambitions for the old money families and international corporations strongly connected to information & trade hubs around Terra. "Masterful insider, their intentions unknown"

When it comes to security the Dual Republic persues harmony on its own continent and seeks to profit from intercontinental chaos. "JASA was a failed continent-wide pact which was jammed down the throats of others by Luthori and Kundrati."

Summary:

The beating heart of Seleya and Terra loves the idea of eternal prosperity and long-standing international harmony without regards to ideology however that is only the tip of the iceberg.

As a matter of fact, Aldegar is ruled behind the shadows by the Masked Fools Society that pull the strings but one of the many good thing about the Fools is that they don't care about anything other than their own intrests and prosperity of their realm, but most importantly they love persons with great goals.

Economically, Aldegar is ready to bankroll nations in development in exchange of assured economic adventures between the two alongside some forms of positive developments in said nations. They also like when nations come to them with ambitious plans because Aldegar and megaprojects go hand in hand, you want to start a massive infrastructure project that will tremendously improve your standards of living? Just knock at the doors of Ramsāhreza just make sure to be loud about your goals and you will receive billions from them in no time.

When it comes to security and weapon manufacturing, Aldegar is Seleya's brand-new industrial heartland that dominates the world's robotics sector with the mere fact that more than 60% of its economy automatized. Now for any nation seeking to build their army or supply them quickly and easily, the Helio Factory serves as Terra quickest and most efficient giga automatized factory located right on the Somasi island, intrested nations can contact the MoD to place orders.

How to influence Aldegar:
-Gain the good favors of the Fools by being bold and loud, then they will hold a maskival in your honor to see if you're worthy of their good grace
-Stroke the government in the way of its fur not against it, meaning start investing in important sectors or areas I.e the Champagne District, ACAA, PRAGMA
-Have a silver tongue because if MFS likes you, you can make them influence Aldegar in your favor directly
Don't mind me just spreading som good old chaos and insanity and sometimes democracy and freedom depends on my mood

Summary: becoming a communist state where workers are equal, nationalisation all the economy, meanwhile keeping good relations with other nations, espiaccally the AU nations. Investing a lot in education and the economy, to become a economical influence and a strong influence in general, so i can try to reunite the AU. If it would succeed, i would like to cooperate with the AU nations to become stronger military wise, so other continents wouldn't even dare to think about laughing at us and also have more educational exchange, like students, research and knowledge, to build a continent that is futuristic and smarter then others. something in the genre.

how to influence: just being friendly, diplomatic and have cheap stuff we can buy

Sumarry: To make pontesi strong economical and military and become a part of the trifecta with Beiteynu and N&D, want to be the small pitbull, who barks and growls a lot, but doesn't do much untill his owner says something. See how that goes for the years to come.

How to influence:
- Letting companies come into pontesi.
- being respectfull and or flattering to the trifecta.
- upsize the military of pontesi.

Summary:


Kalistan: "The Mirror of Terra"

For a nation of immigrants that welcomes the world, Kalistan is one of the more self-focused nations in Terra. It has long been played as a left of center mixed economy, with a stronger emphasis on the public sector. It is also obsessed with limiting inflation and promoting economic equality, even to the detriment of its own economic success. It has also historically been referred to as a "pirate republic" for excellent reasons, including its willingness to coddle and empower pirates.

Kalistan's commitment to armed neutrality is one of its defining features. As is Kalistan's resistence great power politics. Kalistan's military doctrine relies heavily on the defense-in-depth strategy, aimed at destroying enemy morale without engaging them in large scale combat. It strongly relies on its militias who serve as irregular forces, and its Regular and irregular navy and marine forces to keep potential adversaries from coming to Kalistan. Kalistan has been historically known to intervene, however, when defending what it sees as its interests. Kalistan's military specialty is artillery and other forms of indirect fire.

Politically, Kalistan consists of two entities: Ananto and Kalistan Proper that are welded together through tradition and political attitude. Kalistan Proper (4 of the 5 regions of the country) have always served as a hinterland to Ananto, which is the traditional center of power, culture, and finance. Though Kalistan Proper has had several great achievements in their own right, Sulari, Suldanor (RL Equivalent: Los Angeles CA) will always been seen as the Second City to Kaliburg, Ananto (RL Equivalent: San Francisco CA).

Culturally speaking, Kalistan is stuck in the mid-1990s (Specifically West Coast USA mid-90s culture), though there have been some efforts to adopt more recent culture in specific regions of the country. Technologically, Kalistan is fully up to date and is always looking for ways to use modern technology in new and more efficient ways. For example, it has built a national magnetic levitation rail system for passenger trains across both Kalistan Proper and Ananto.

Generally, speaking, Kalistan's alignment would be described as Chaotic Good: Mostly good behavior, for often its own closely held reasons, and often employing confusing, bizarre, or comedic means to accomplish its goals, though it will often employ methods that violate international norms and outright ignore international law to serve the pursuit of its interests. Ironically, Kalistan is not shy about being honest about this fact. It is a fan of music, festivals, surfing, and beauty, and both stoic and epicurean values are strongly imbued into its culture. It has a strongly Falstaffian outlook on the world.

How to influence:

- Kalistanis love flattery. Acknowledging Kalistani culture and achievement publicly is a great way to make friends with Kalistan (also, both competing and cooperating with Kalistan on cultural ground that Kalistan sees as theirs is a good way to become friendly.) Make an effort to go to Kalistan and enjoy your time there, and then tell the rest of the world about it. And remember, Kalistan believes that it is the greatest nation in the world. Whether it is or not.
- Kalistan responds in kind, culturally, economically, militarily, etc. If you flatter Kalistan, Kalistan will like you. If you "try to take Kalistan down a peg" you will provoke hostility in Kalistan. If you ignore Kalistan, you do not exist in Kalistan.

Nation: Dankuk (Dovani)
Summary:

A somewhat conservative nation, Dankuk (known domestically by the endonym Baeguk [拜國], poetically known as the "Flowering Kingdom" [大花拜國]) is a middle-power used to being surrounded by bigger bullies. Haunted by the trauma of brutal and near-genocidal imperial oppression as a colony of Egelion from the 20th to 22nd centuries, Baeguk is determined to never be sucked into the painful vortex of international war or exploitation again.

As such, Baeguk is sometimes known as the "Hermitcrab Kingdom" (often shortened to "Hermit Kingdom"), a nation that rarely likes coming out of it's shell to take strong positions on the international stage. Baeguk is almost always vague and malleable on stances regarding issues outside of its' general vicinity. As a result, the only interactions that really happen are purely economic or cultural between Baeguk and most of Terra, with the government often avoiding strong alliances or treaties.

However, to compensate for shying away from the wider world, Baeguk has maintained a robust set of alliances with local partners in the West Dovanian region and sought to keep relations good and interconnected to avoid conflicts of interest. For nations within this sphere, Baeguk's government seeks good or at the very least non-confrontational relations.

Perhaps the definition of Lawful Neutral, Baeguk values reliability, predictability, and loyalty above all else. This status has been derided by outsiders as "milquetoast", "drab", and the epitome of "nothing ever happens" due to the consistency and stability the current form of government brings. Indeed, the government prides itself on the generally violence-free and reliable environment it has cultivated. However, if one stops fretting over these political stereotypes they will instead be able to focus much more on the vibrant, bustling and multi-ethnic culture that makes up Baegukese society.

Having been historically neglected and belittled, the Baegukese people are incredibly hungry for and susceptible to flattery and attention. Baeguk is big on soft power and cultural exportation. If you praise their music idols, skincare routines, and underfloor heating systems, you should get along with the Flowering Kingdom just fine.

How to influence:

- Trade deals and investment into domestic R&D and manufacturing industries
- Using Hanulro or GT-brand phones and smart devices
- Diplomatic favor through marriage to members of the imperial family, the House of Baek
- Blogging about Draniano street food or watching K-Dramas (Cultural exposure)
- Listening to and consuming K-Pop (Kyo-Pop)

Summary: The Nation of Justice

Lourenne exists as a beacon for stability, justice, and democracy in a rather archaic world. For centuries, the nation has worked to become the spitting image of "lawful goodness".

On Idealism: The nation works to create a just and ideal society. Lourennais people always find ways to improve and strive to live in an "ideal" world. This narrative in the country was created through centuries of socialist policies within the economy and civil society. Idealism remains one of the greatest components of Lourennais politics and foreign policies. Lourennais people strive for perfection. The world can and should exist in a perfect state of liberty and democracy. Any other option is simply wrong.

On Politics: Lourenne underwent a revolution in the mid 4700s that completely changed its outlook on the world and systematically changed the structure of the country. Lourenne adopted several positions such as anti-imperialism, anti-fascism, and idealism as a result from the revolution -- positions that it holds to this day. Any challenge towards the stability and ideological nature of Lourenne is an automatic red flag for the government. Politics never go beyond your traditional left and right axis. The nation exists within the center and center-left.

On Culture and Society: Lourenne has a very diverse culture. While it is Canrillaise dominated, there are other groups such as Egelian and Orinco which give new perspectives to the nation. Pretentiousness and Eloquence is the way of the Lourennais. This is seen through its architecture, luxury items, banking system, and entertainment sectors. Lourennais people love living the high end life. If its people are not working, they are eating, shopping, gambling, attending an opera, or enjoying the gifts of the human body. Lourennais citizens are extremely educated, some might even say too much. This is a direct result of idealism within the nation and the strive to become better as a people. Lawyers, teachers, and bankers are the top three professions. The monarchy of Lourenne is the biggest cultural institution. Despite it only being ceremonial, the monarchy is engrained in Lourenne.

Lourenne understands the needs, the goals, and the aspirations of the nations of Terra, but it won't say them out loud. It's expertise on law, money, and diplomacy automatically makes it a major player on the world stage thus carrying influence. Lourenne has no enemies and doesn't go out of its way to make them (treat others the way you want to be treated). In a world that switches and changes every moment, Lourenne stands to be the beacon of stability and reason, just as it has for centuries--and it will continue to do so as it pushes Terra towards an ideal future.

How to influence:
- Ask for assistance. Lourenne loves to help those in need of assistance for any reason. The savior complex is real and can be taken advantage of--within reason.
- Royal Diplomacy (diplomacy through marriages and royal connections)
- Use the nation's banking system. It exists for the purpose of stability and global connections. It is used as a network for the global economy and a medium for trade with other nations, both lucrative and transparent.
- Use the nation for judicial services. Lourenne's populace is forced into law classes and are multi-lingual. Thousands of individuals are waiting to be used for representation, attorneys, and company lawyers
- Acknowledge Lourenne as a leader in the global community. (Remember, pretentiousness. Flattery on this matter might be effective, but combined with the first point, nations may benefit from a healthy, positive relationship with Lourenne)
