In anticipation of the upcoming migration of the wiki and a few other things, an update to prtcy.com's framework has began. Look for extended updates to the webhook on Particracy's main Discord Server, as well, over the course of the next weeks.
The upcoming update of prtcy.com and the news feed bot on Discord will require a downtime (site is already down) that may last either a day or a couple of days, depending on how the deployment of v2 is going to go down.
New version will introduce 5 mechanisms for the bot:
1. A new and separate feed for statements (ex. World Congress, MSCO, Artanian Union and other orgs, etc)
2. A new feed for calendar (ex. MSCO rotation change, World Congress election results, yearly statistics, electoral calendar, etc)
3. An existing feed for headlines from national news
4. A new feed for news digest, prob. something once a week that pops all the headlines in short summary format for players to catch up
5. A new feed for announcements, as suggested by jamescfm (this may be expanded with requests notifications for RPC & me, we'll see)
V2 will also introduce a kick-ass new feature called Arcs.
Players will be able to connect their posts with a small snippet at the end. Then the website will automatically display those stories like newspapers do with "realtime" events and the bot will always link up what the "bigger story" of a headline is about, if an arc is connected (ex. Badaran Civil War).
You can provide feedback on the site and the bot at anytime, here.
Please expect delays and bugs!
The site and the feed will go down in the next few days, to deploy the new version. So Discord news won't work for a bit, as well.
The update will hopefully be completed this weekend. At some point, the newsfeed will be temporarily disabled.
The new version is up. Appreciate everyone for their patience on the spam/testing on Discord and the upcoming bugs and problems that the new system will inevitably face. Will follow-up with an update on more details and especially about how to use requests and operations.
The gist: anybody will be able to request and add statements to the feed, as well as new arcs (main stories).
Keep in mind the UI on prtcy.com will remain disabled for a bit, until the bugs are ironed out.
