You just missed Jackie's Bar on Cowane Street, that closed when I was in second year. Absolute toilet, with fights in it constantly.

It was brilliant.

If you're talking about Wetherspoons...call me obsessive, but I've boycotted them ever since their owner started campaigning for Brexit!

I'm more of a glass-of-red-wine-in-the-evening type.

I like your style.

But tin-of-special-brew-in-the-park-at-8am is definitely the way to do it.

We can agree on that one. In my case Bordeaux (or Claret, as you Brits tend to call it) is my favorite type of wine. A bit stereotypical given my French heritage. But my German half also enjoys some Bavarian Weißbier.

Funny how both right-wing candidates (Fillon and Le Pen) are staunchly pro-Putin.

I confess I don't follow French politics closely, but what I want to ask is...how radical/right-wing is Fillon really? I mean, both Chirac and Sarkozy were elected saying they'd do all sorts of things that they didn't really end up doing...so would Fillon be any different to them?
