I analyzed the Democratic field and came to the conclusion that should Hillary dropout, decide not to run, die, etc., the only person who can conceivably mount a serious challenge to a Republican would be Elizabeth Warren. Warren WILL inspire the liberal base to come out and vote. Furthermore, Warren would be wise to select a southern Democrat or at least someone to the right of her, most likely Jim Webb, that way she can appeal to the Moderates and independents. Of course, we know that she is not running and that means the Dems are screwed if Hillary is not in the race. The current crop of candidates lack charisma, are not diverse, lack any kind of star appeal and above all, do not inspire the idea of hope and change that Obama did.

That said, if the Republicans decided to go full retard and pick somebody from the Funky Bunch, then that gives a weaker candidate like O'Malley an even better shot at winning.

Even if the GOP goes for the one of the funky bunch, who can rally the Dems and people for the Dems? O'Malley is a goon, Webb is a nobody, Warren is a crass left wing populist who would convince even moderates to hold their nose and vote for someone of the funky bunch as you call them. Outside of them, who else? Cuomo is mired in corruption scandals in NY, the party's recruits in 2014 are flamed out because they all lost. Between 2010 and 2014 the Democratic bench has been serially depleted of talent.

I just find it so ironic that the potential Democratic nominees are mostly old white men (and a woman).

The Democratic Party isn't exactly a shining light of progressivism, social justice and righteousness, is it? That's something we can all agree on.

The Democratic Party is slowly evolving to become a social democratic party, since the JFK administration they've progressively distanced themselves from their labor heritage. It'll be interesting to see if the left wing of the party can take over the party quick enough or if it will become a long, drawn out process...

The democratic may be not pretty, but this

http://www.newnownext.com/north-carolin ... re_twitter

Excuse me, but this has not reason to exist, that so called religious freedom once exist before, its was used by democrats and racists to exclude blacks from any political life and to seperate them from white shops.

a sad tales to learn that the party who once fought to outlaw discrimination is not the most racist and most conservative party here.

Sorry, but the republican must be destroyed. And if that means having one state party for 20 years, so be it.

Have you read the actual bill? If this is good or bad is solely determined by how a "compelling governmental interest" is defined.
