Yeah, I'm a Buddhist as well (I was born one, so I'm not one of those shitty teenage "Buddhists").

I'm a minarchist which kind of sums it all up. That is I believe the only functions of government should be protection against physical harm and coersion as well as the protection of private contracts (police, military, courts). I believe in the Austrian School of economics. However:

-I completely oppose abortion in all cases (apart from rape and when the mother's life is in danger, there I am undecided),
-I strongly support the death penalty for rapists and murderers,
-I am against intellectual property laws

The choice of wording here is quite revealing. More about economics than about you, but still...

Bit hypocritical, old bean?

No, second hand smoke is awful. I also oppose smoking around children for the same reason.

Well, that's questionable. Independent studies have found that half an hour in front of a barbecue is more harmful than a being in a room 24/7 for a month, that's so cigarette-smoky one can't see one's hand in front of one's face. The 'harm' of second-hand smoke is imaginary, unless you wouldn't expose children to a barbecue, or a street full of traffic. Of course the harm of constant long-term exposure is a different question, I wouldn't bring up a child from the cradle until he's twenty in a smoky house either. Certainly doesn't mean an hour in a smoky pub has a noticeable affect on a man's health, or that second-hand smoke in public places contravenes Mills' harm principle.

I oppose idiots who listen to studies funded by the Labour government, personally. Absolutely mad what those studies came up with, two non-independent studies funded by the government went completely against twenty years of evidence and went so far as to say furniture that had been in a smoky room is harmful to one's health. I think they said 'potentially' harmful, which might be true, in the same way that it is potentially harmful to eat chicken.

* I am in favour of a socialist market, where firms are run democratically and natural monopolies are controlled by the community
* I am for the separation of church and state.
* I think the United Kingdom should be dissolved into constituent countries
* I am an English nationalist but I don't consider England to be 'better' objectively than anywhere else

Weird mix of silly socialist ideas with misguided English nationalism. You're in one of these new half-arsed-fascist English nationalist parties, aren't you?
