Ridiculous, isn't it. I hate the smell, it tastes like burnt leaves and it's expensive, but there's nothing better on a winter's evening than a quiet cigarette and a cup of tea, maybe with a good book. Or a quiet cigarette and a cold beer in the summer. (Or Pimm's, possibly the best thing about summer.) I miss being able to smoke in the pub something awful, even though I love the fact that pubs are no longer filled with a constant haze of smoke.

I don't smoke regularly of course, I love the occasional sense once in a while. And strangely enough, Greece is on a smoke-ban from yesterday - things are going to get nasty in the near future around here. Yup, cigarette, book, balcony, on the second floor, wind blowing hastily, awesome; maybe raining. Brilliant.

I've quit smoking about two and a half years ago, more or less because of my girlfriend. Apparently I wasn't really addicted to it, seeing that it wasn't really hard to quit for me, but I miss it nevertheless. It's not even the taste that I miss most, it is the whole experience - the aesthetics of the whole process really: the way the smoke looks both coming from the end of the cigarette and when exhaled, the way one holds the cigarette, the little flick you make when you shake the ash of...

It doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon, but if we should break up, I'll smoke again.

I think I have an addictive personality too, which is why I try to avoid things where possible. I never gambled until this year really, and in my first semester I lost £500 in the casino, so I threw away my membership card and never went back.

Come to Las Vegas, we need more tourists, we are low on tourists and need more money from taxation of casinos.

And I'm not going to even start with cannabis. There is absolutly no sense in it being illegal anywhere in the world. WHO and EU have verified that it is the safest of all known intoxicants, including tobacco and alcohol. During the history of man, 0 people have died from health-related issues caused by cannabis. Damn, there I went, even though I said I wouldn't start. Bah.
