FOR EXAMPLE:
Question: Was it ethical for the U.S. to use the atom bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II?
Yay-sayer: Yes, it is obvious that the United States did the right thing by using nuclear weapons on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II. After the battles on major Japanese islands, including Okinawa, the U.S. had suffered major casualties. By invading the island of Japan instead of simply using the atom bomb on these two cities, the total number of casualties on BOTH sides was dramatically reduced since Japan surrendered before further military engagement was commenced. As President Truman said, "You can do your weeping at Pearl Harbor."
Nay-sayer: No, the U.S. should have never used the Atom Bomb. While some of us may toot our own horns and point to how the use of the bombs ended World War II, we forget that our use of the bomb stained our record as upholders of liberty and humane treatment not just then, but even today. The use of the atomic bomb did not weaken the Japanese military, it MURDERED innocent civilians who may have had no opinion on Japan's role in World War II. It is a shock that today we call for the denuclearization of other nations when we were the first to use this technology to achieve our selfish goals.

PRESMUSHARRAF'S VERDICT:
Blank-sayer won the round of debating this time. His wise use of historical events and how they were directly related to the subject helped make his case stronger. Even though his opponent did bring up some interesting points, it was difficult to tell how they were directly related to the question.
PRESMUSHARRAF'S VIEW:
The United States of America should never have even dreamed of using the Atomic Bomb. President Truman may have considered the weapon to be a military asset, and, therefore, free game, but he seemed to have little consideration for the impact it would have on Japan and on the United States. Japan lost many innocent people due to the bombing, and the U.S. appeared corrupt in their actions as they would use all resources necessary for victory (even nuclear annihilation of an entire metropolis). It is no wonder Iran and North Korea boldly move forward to nuclearization when we once acted like they are now.
Who's up to the challenge? We will discuss light-hearted and strong-hearted topics. We will always need two people on opposite sides (or one who is willing to play devil's advocate and challenge himself to lie through his teeth). Here is the first question.
QUESTION: Should the U.S. involve Iran and Syria in its attempts to stabalize Iraq?
Remember, we need one yay-sayer and one nay-sayer.
