my thesis statment is "prior to the American Revolution, colonists were being oppressed by England. Yet, this event transformed American history by giving us our freedom and allowing us to create our own government."
and i need a heading to match an essay based on this.

Not only can this poor half-wit not think of a title, she thinks English colonists were somehow oppressed by England. That this 'transformed American history' (into what, my dear? Geography?) is also a hilarious assumption, on a number of levels. Somehow the fact of the oppression also accounted for their 'freedom', which makes one wonder, are the Canadians not free? Lastly, of course, it's the American War of Independence.

Oh, come on guys, give the kid a break (I assume she is a kid. God help me if she is in high school and asking that question). I think that she probably meant that our previous experiences with oppression by England taught us a lesson and that it helped us develop a fully functional government capable of not oppressing its citizens. Now, she has poor writing skills and that's just a guess of what she meant.

If you wants to get a decent answer from Yahoo, she better write something people can clearly comprehend.

Really, what history do you have? 400 years is a short period of time when compared to countries with real histories. But that is what you get when you try to build a country with leftovers from other nations.
