Well, we're landlocked now, back in the times of colonialism we had access to the mediterranean (and there were even some attempts to colonialize something, wich extended to having something like two trading posts, one in India and one in East-Africa, I think. And we've discovered Franz Joseph Land - hence the name).
Actually, there was no real reason why I asked, other than a general interest in history.

Me, my mom and some of her colleagues waited in line before entering the auditourium at the U.S. Department of Labor. We got to hear the Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis speak before meeting the First Lady. And if you must know, I did get to meet Michelle Obama and I have a picture of it.
