In Las Vegas, that man might have been shot, the cops here love to shoot people. If the man had something in his pocket, a LVMPD cop would have blown him to pieces.

I know you live in Las Vegas and everything and I won't argue with a local; however, I think you are exaggerating a little bit. I can see them tasering the bastards but not shooting them just like that. But again, I don't live there (Thank God!).

They shot a woman, in front of her children, because she was angry that her husband was being arrested and was carrying a spatula(She was driving an Ice Cream Truck, as was her husband.).

Also, I was on the way to a school event and they pulled my mom and I over and they called a second cop car and they yelled at my mom in front of me and treated her like she had done some horrible, criminal thing by driving without a license(She was going to the DMV later that day.). They never pull anyone over without a second cop car on the way.

You know, playing a cop is actually pretty fun, so no wonder they enjoy using their power. We had a little fun in the army with the guys from the Military Police pulling people over. Our Leopard was malfunctioning (again, later someone realized that somehow water had gotten into the fuel tank), and we stopped it next to a public road and - as most of the time in the Finnish army - we were so damn bored, so we decided to have a little fun with the civilians. The MP's sat on our tank and waved the stop sign, which was effective. ( No need for a 2nd car if you have a tank. ) Too bad we didin't have a breathalyzer as it was not really official, so they just checked their licenses. But it was great fun to get people humble.

If our military police had done something like this they would have gotten in more-than-serious trouble. Also they are usually much more concerned whith taking it out on the recruits for not being properly dressed and so on. And they go after deserters.

Apart from that, you're story seems more than familiar. Funnily enough I also got stuck with a malfunctioning Leopard - although it was never revealed to us why it was malfunctioning.

If the US military tried that,they'd all be discharged and charged with violating Posse Comitatus.

Edit: I just looked and actually they are allowed to stop traffic.

Edit: You give LVMPD tanks and they could've blown those Ice Cream trucks to pieces, they would too.
