Seen "Waltz with Basir"?

If you have, then "Il Divo" or "Gomorrah" (both excellent cures for western Mafia glamorisation)

No, actually it's the first time I hear about it...it's a recent movie? (after 1999)

All three I mentioned came out in the last year or this year-ish.

I really suggest "Waltz with Basir", it's the best film I ever seen about Israel. An eye opener too, I never knew Falangism (a type of Catholic Fascism) existed in the middle east, let along the Israelis were in cohorts with it. Very haunting, half-animation masterpiece, half-great documentary (there's hardly any voice acting, it's nearly all recorded conversations).

The Israelis are keen with anything that leans towards the right. I speak from experience. I just don't understand those folks.

Now that you mention it I remember some discussions about a half-animation film about Israel. People said it got very good reviews and it's almost a documentary. I guess it's worth watching.

I doubt if there is a person here who hasn't seen "The Pianist", now that we speak of jews.

Well I just happen to live by a good independent cinema. Duke of Yorks, oldest in Britain, so I see all the radical masterpieces which don't get shown in the chains. They most likely didn't get any press coverage in Greece or the US.

I like musicals myself.

King and I, Sound of Music, Music Man, West Side Story. And yes, I know almost all the songs by heart.
