Yet more good news from the decrepit, dying beast that's called 'Scottish football'. The Wee Huns die to make it a treble of a good 12 months (Rangers and Thatcher). Not so good if you're a Hearts fan, but the rest of us hate them, so it's pretty hilarious. Does mean the death of the Scottish national game, but otherwise, pretty funny.

Scottish football has reached a new low.

And that really must be quite fucking low.

I'm against any move to England, simply for traditional reasons.

And on the topic of Celtic and Rangers moving to the Premier League, Celtic yes might be accepted, but New Rangers would not. They are currently terrible, and in their current state, would probably be a mid-table Scottish First Division side.

And so European football once again kicks off.

Scottish teams have done surprisingly well in their opening fixtures. Celtic have hammered Cliftonville 3-0 at Solitude in Belfast for the first leg of their second qualifying round of the Champions League. The return leg is at Celtic Park on Tuesday.

In the Europa League, St. Johnstone have shocked Europe by beating the Norwegian side Rosenborg 1-0 away from home. However Scottish Cup-winners Hibernian were defeated 2-0 by Swedish outfit Malmo.

Other teams played, but they don't matter.

The Celtic result wasn't surprising. A route was obviously expected there.

But I particularly meant the performance of St. Johnstone. St. Johnstone, as you may or may not know, are traditionally really, really shit. Not only do they do badly, they do badly in the Scottish League, which means they must be really, REALLY bad. Three years ago they were struggling to get out of the second teir. Plus, Rosenborg have been in the group stages of the Champions League TWELVE times. So I think shock is an appropriate word to describe the result.

I do hope Hibs go through though. A nice wee Battle of Britain. No way can they overturn that 2 goal deficit though.

Scotland and England are the joint oldest national teams in the world, the first international fixture in the world and many other historical reasons.

It's still a waste of time. The game will be a disappointment and it'll only result in bad feelings between the fans.
