Well in quite possibly the shocker of the decade, Narendra Modi and his BJP have achieved the first one party majority govt in 30 years. The Indian National Congress, long the dominant party in India, was given a stunning rebuke winning less than 50 seats at the time of this writing. Also the INC led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) has barely won 100 seats i believe at last count.
Meanwhile the BJP won 282 seats with the entire National Democratic Alliance (NDA) winning 337 seats. So my fellow interneters....

What does the stunning BJP win mean? Is this a turning point in Indian politics?

Is the INC still a viable major party?

What will a Prime Minister Modi government look like? Will it help or hurt India?
