Why is it that Alberta is so conservative? Not many places have a right-wing government and a righter-wing opposition.

What do you think of Jim Prentice, BTW? Do you think that he'll be able to save the Alberta Tories from Wildrose? Cause under Redford they seemed pretty fucked.

Yes the BC Liberal party is generally a vote for a Liberal & a Conservative but they identify with the Conservatives. The Saskatchewan party not at all they are Conservative, there is a Liberal Party that gets voted in sometimes but not in the last few elections it's really in between in NDP & SKP.

Yea Alberta is the furthest right province by far, they always have been and federally they always vote conservative candidates and the Conservatives have won every provincial election since 1976, that's why they are the only province with a 0% provincial sales tax.

I think he will do good he is kind of like the centre alternative, he was born to a blue collar family and to pay for his university tuition he was a part-time coal miner for 7 years.

I was always under the impression that right-wingers prefer value added taxes over income taxes.

I found this cool quiz that you can take that will tell you what party you side with,
http://canada.isidewith.com/political-quiz

Here are my results,

Conservative 72%
Liberal 65%
NDP 37%
Bloc Qubecois 24%
Green 12%

Foreign Policy NDP
Immigration Conservative
Economy Conservative
Environment Green
Domestic Policy Liberal
Social Liberal
Healthcare NDP
Education Conservative

I'm really surprised that I'm 65% Liberal :?
