Quebec could not sustain itself as a country if it were to secede from Canada. Cost-benefit analysis.

Yea not to mention that Canada has some vital things in Montreal, like our Space Agency Headquaters(which was scone of the best in the world) and a few Military bases. Your point is right though too, Quebec only has a few industries like Lumber and some manufacturing, economically they would be like South Africa and poverty would increase and GDP would probably lower even more to a Chile level because foreign investment would be down since it has separated. Let's not remember other parts of Canada would be cut of from the "main land" and could separate themselves or Canada could demand Quebec give them the sliver at the side to ensure they are conected.

No, you are wrong, there are countless studies that show that independance is viable.

Federalist always use the cards of fear, this is becoming old. very old. especially Quebec and Canada would be two democratic countries.
I don't see whuy investment would be down, because we speak french for real now ? that is already a law.. Call charter of French language
in the even Quebec win their referendum, I doubt there will be the sudden establishment of frontier between the two countries. Two democratic countries don't wage war on each others.
