A bit of political drama and intra-party managing strategy from today's Sweden. The SD has long had problem with it's youth group which is perceived to have links to identitarians and ethnonationalists, while the SD wants to be like the Swedish variant of UKIP. How to fix this delicate situation?

The Sweden Democrat's party board has decided to cut its ties with the party's youth wing, SDU.

The Sweden Democrats' executive board will now form a new youth organisation with the same name as the previous youth wing. According to the party's by-laws, however, the Sweden Democrats might not be able to break off from its youth wing without letting other party members vote on the matter at a party congress.

What the article doesn't really state however, is this is done to circumvent the bye laws, who state that the SDU is part of the SD. :D Otherwise they would have to put this to vote at the party congress.

Genius..

Interesting..... Well atleast the SD are trying to establish themselves as a Right-Wing party rather than a Far-Right one. The Federal Conservatives here don't have a youth wing and instead the provincial Conservative parties have their youth wings which is a mess in my opinion considering some Provinces have one party representing both the Liberals and Conservatives. So what can be learned from this is that it would be vital for them to get this sorted out fast.
