Hey guys, I was a long time particracy player a looong time ago (I started when I was 14 or maybe 15, and im 26 now). I doubt anyone remembers me, but I was inspired by Particracy recently to create a sorta similarish game called Power. The game is in its earliest stages of development, but I figured you'd guys would be interested in it.

http://oppressive.games/power/

Instead of leading a party in a fictional nation, you are a politician in the United States of America (I may, in the future, add more nations). You may run for seats in the Senate or the governorship of a State, or play party politics and try to become chairman of a Party. Once on the Senate you may vote on laws, etc.

At the moment the game is pretty simple, but I intend to expand it considerably, adding presidential elections, other political offices, and much more.

Currently the game only has a number of states available, but I am adding them daily as it expands.

My advice/guide for earliest steps:

Join either the Republicans or Democrats. Going third party or independent considerably weakens you at the moment, as you recieve less power per turn. This can change based on events in the game, but for now the two party system is still strong.

Ask your party leader for money, and they will usually provide it.

Anyways, if you have any questions please post them and I will answer them ASAP!

Definitely worth a shot, I'm active on there and there's a very active community forming. New features getting added daily. Try it out.

Here're a few recent screenshots from the game and Democratic Party players' discord server.

"Mr. Ni***" is Saddam Hussein (Texas governor)'s discord handle. The other leading player in Texas is "Lyndon Johnson" whose account is listed as user #1 on the game's server and at whose discord account other players direct complaints, so I'm guessing Lyndon Johnson is a game administrator or developer. I asked the Democratic Party chairman in-game ("Chair Foreman") who is responsible for cleaning up the racist posts in-game and on discord. He soon disappeared from the user list visible to me on the discord server after having been very responsive to an earlier introductory message. He also appeared online on the game's server. I've never used discord before, but I take that to mean the democratic party chairman blocked me.

The game is interesting but similar to CCP I encountered questionable statements as some would call it a "cancer" discord-community where you get an insult instead of an answer to your question.

So I've been playing Power ever since the day this thread was posted, and I've come to enjoy it a lot. A lot of updates have been made and the player base is growing by the day. There are now primaries to go along with the general election, a (Democratic) White House, and an active Discord community. If you're interested in joining, I STRONGLY urge you to join the Democrats, where you can be showered with funds at a moment's notice.

Ask for the Discord link in "Democratic Party Discussions" under the "Parties" tab after joining the Democratic Party.

Cheers. :D
