Well, obviously not the EPP and not the ECR, or the ALDE. Hope the ENF dissapears from parliament (a group that comprises the FPÖ, the Flemish Interest, the Front National, the AfD...no thanks no while I live in Europe) andddd probably will vote the Greens, but I'd have to read further, as I really want some changes in the EU (and please, not coming from the ENF group), and I don't think the Greens can push much further

Honestly I think that the EU will already have imploded by then.

I have info from people who know what they're talking about that parts of the remnants (after Brexit) of EFDD and ECR are already discussing a merge. SD wanted to go ECR already last time after all, but wasn't accepted. With Tories out of the way.. perhaps another big centre-right party will step in and be the group's source of 'legitimacy', like Forza Italia (however Fidesz is probably closer to ENF already, honestly  )?

I like the ECR group, feels like a promising forum for modern European conservatism. Sadly, turning the EU into a strictly intergovernmental (rather than supranational) body is something that won't happen outside of the dream world, though...

My respect for the EFDD group (which I previously mostly kinda saw as little more than a placeholder organization for parties that weren't accepted in the ECR and didn't want to be in the ENF) did however significantly improve after the Catalan crisis... and if they'd continue to exist, it could potentially become an important voice for more libertarian/direct democratic streaks of right-wing parties.

Feels kinda odd to see PVV with Vlaams Belang and Front National... but I guess Gert takes the anti-islam thing a bit too far to be welcome anywhere else.

Fortunately, none of the groups don't quite work like parties (yet). Huge difference from country to country, some eastern european social democrats are more nationalistic than our right-wing parties, our Moderate Party (who are like the LibDems or something) together with die hard anti-abortion Maltan Christian Dmeocrats and Hungary's Fidesz, nationalists in countries like the Netherlands are socially liberal, etc.

Why would you do that, though? At least consider ECR. :(
