Italian Government Coalition 2018

So it seems that Italy will be governed by a coalition consisting of the Five Star Movement and Lega (formerly Lega Nord). This is interesting to say the least. The former is left-wing populist and southern, the latter is right-wing populist and northern. They agree on being against the EU, against the establishment and for restrictive immigration policies. The FSM wants to implement direct democracy, while the Lega wants decentralisation.
The EU warns that Italy will die if they don't fall back in line, of course.

I'm sure Junker and people like Verhofstadt will see them as a threat and act in their usual arrogant and reckless way. And that's promising. If Italy would be on the course to an Italexit we might see the dominos of the Empire start falling rather quickly. =)
