My first pick would be Farsun, then Amazeroth. You, you're a good player (in my opinion, the best), but you're too unconventional to make a good mod.

Siggon seems a bit too temperamental. And I think that there are better picks than SelucianCrusader, although I can't quite pinpoint an objection.

Holiday season or not, Valdie has been the only active mod here for about a month now. It's not fair to him, or to anyone else that he should be doing this job alone. He's pretty much the only moderator that checks in regularly and gets things done. There are 5 other people on this forum listed as moderators that haven't posted since November and beyond.

If we're going to move forward here, we need to have someone new and active, and weed out those that have let us down. Personally, I'd like to nominate either Farsun, or myself if necessary. Farsun has been a remarkable asset here, having added many new aspects to the game, especially stuff about cultural and economic protocols, military formations, the upkeep and transformation of the wiki, among other things. I can't say that much for myself; I have been in a moderator position before, and I'm active. I don't have much more.

I think what we have here is not a cry for help, but a cry to help. And I'd say that's rather encouraging.

There will be a search for new mods over and after Christmas, as the current situation is less than satisfactory.

I would nominate Jalal or catparty, on the basis of being two of the game's grandest roleplayers, as well as being loyal to the moderation in the past and enhancing the general atmosphere of the game.

Martinulus is also a potential candidate, but I think he needs some more experience here before he could become a mod.

It's a shame that UniSocAll is gone when we need him.

Myself, I could become a moderator, though I'd prefer the ones above over myself.
