All of the instances referred to in my previous post occurred between May 15th, which is nearly 2 months ago, and June 26th, which is over 2 weeks ago. As you know, there have been long-running, recurring issues regarding the processing of Cultural Protocol requests.

Due to this, on numerous occasions over the last year or so I have personally gone to the effort of contacting Moderators after mistakes or oversights were made. The most common examples of this are Cultural Protocol update requests being posted on the forum by players and then being overlooked by Moderation (ie. for way longer than the usual 48 hour consultation period, sometimes for more than a week) and the Cultural Protocols Index not being accurately updated after a Cultural Protocol has been updated.

The Cultural Protocols Index is a key reference point for both players and Moderators in terms of identifying what the current Cultural Protocols are for each nation, and following the Cultural Protocols is a key part of the rules and the game. It is important that it forms a clear and accurate record. If it is allowed to subside into disorganisation, then unfortunately there is a significant risk that will cause unnecessary confusion and inconvenience, not to mention the possibility of disputes arising.

I have assisted Moderators with these problems a great deal already, but will not be able to do so going into the future. Given this, I hope some serious thought will go into exploring the options in terms of making sure the Cultural Protocol system is administered efficiently and accurately. When the concept of Cultural Protocols was first mooted some years back, the possibility was raised of appointing a new "Cultural Moderator". Perhaps that is an option worth exploring again now? All this really needs is someone who is committed, has a good eye for detail and has the available time. It would probably not usually take more than 45 minutes a week, so not overly demanding, in the scale of things.

You announced on the Cultural Protocol Approvals thread that Indrala's Cultural Protocol update request had been "Approved in Case there was any confusion thanks". Please allow me to point out that the approval was not actually stated on the thread, and also that the Cultural Protocols Index has not yet been updated to reflect the update. The Index has not yet been updated to reflect Cobura's Cultural Protocol update, either.

Following the corrections you made, the entries in the Cultural Protocols Index for Hobrazia and Luthori now link to Cultural Protocol reference bills sitting in the bill debates sections of the nation pages. The usual procedure is to link the entry to the actual bill that was actually passed. One of the reasons for this is that bills which are still in the debate section can at any time be edited or even deleted by the user who created them.

Once again, thank you for your time.

Thanks for pointing this out, we've updated the Index so it should be up to date. If we missed anything please let us know.

The entries for Hobrazia and Luthori still need to be corrected.

There also appear to be issues with the Third World Control Register.

Noumonde is supposed to be controlled by EdmundS, but is listed as being controlled by Axxell.

Vanakalam is supposed to be controlled by QV73, but is listed as Open (ie. not controlled by anybody).

Bianje is supposed be controlled by Reddy, but is listed as Open.

Tropica is supposed to have been removed from Elf, but is still listed as being under his control.

Istapali is supposed to be co-controlled by Lewis and cm9777, but is still listed as being solely controlled by CM9777.

A smaller point, but Ostland appears to have been given to Auditorii on June 23rd, whilst he is listed as having been in control since February 20th.

It's laudable that you do this. But we should keep in mind that we're not a bunch of little kids. When someone makes a request and doesn't get an answer in time, it's not unreasonable to expect them to remind Moderation. Players are at least as much responsible for making sure that things are kept up-to-date as Moderation.

Cool, thanks for letting us know. All updated.

There is a dedicated thread for this kind of request:

I posted a copy of your request there. Posting things in the appropriate thread reduces the likelihood that your request is overlooked.

I have a question would a Minister embezzling money from their ministry’s budget require the entire nation to support the RP or can the party controlling the Ministers do it without approval?

Hey! This RP doesn't need approval. As long as you are the party that controls the ministry you should be fine. However, If you plan to involve other parties, you'd need the approval of other parties as well.

Hope this helps :)

Okay thanks, I’ll make this clear to the rest of my nation we hit a rough spot that altered the course of history based on certain actions, but it’s only one party embezzling the funds, thanks for the clarification
